Watch, A girl sobs in front of Edinson Cavani and asks him not to leave Manchester United

Manchester United News: The Red Devils recently scalped a win against Brentford on Tuesday. Manchester United went on to play dominant football against Brentford.

This was also their second win in the last five games. Manchester United were struggling to find some form as they lost a game to relegation ridden Everton recently.

Moreover, the race to finish in the top four is almost over for the Red Devils this season. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are fighting for the top four battle while Manchester United is likely to finish in the fifth or sixth spot given their recent form.

Manchester United’s manager said, “In the end, I’m not happy with the results, especially in the past four or five weeks. I’m not completely happy with those six months. I would have expected to qualify for the Champions League; that was the goal we had. We lost quite a lot of important players.”

“From the team that won against West Ham [in January], for the next game, three players were injured. Other teams brought in players in the window. We had good moments. We conceded fewer goals. But, in the last few weeks, performances have not been as good.”

Manchester United will now be facing Brighton on Saturday. The Red Devils will be travelling to Brighton. Brighton are sitting at the ninth position with 44 points in 35 games so far.

Man Utd youngster details Cristiano Ronaldo advice after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s praise

Manchester United News: Joe Hugill has been a key component in the Red Devils’ youth team’s efforts to reach the FA Youth Cup final for the first time in over a decade.

The centre-forward has shown time and time again that he has a wonderful knack for recognising where the goal is, which he has later acknowledged is partly due to guidance from United’s legendary number seven Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 18-year-old has stated that being able to observe players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani in first-team training has been useful.

Hugill was blown away by the few occasions he was chosen to train with the senior stars. The kid remarked about how he was able to learn from the club’s best stars.

Hugill told The Athletic, “I liked being over there a couple of times, studying from the greatest player ever in Ronaldo. As well as Cavani. You know the club’s reputation; they’re great players,” the teenager added.

“They’re always giving you tips on how to move about in the box, where you can be, and where you don’t want to be. You focus on your preparation and want to impress. I scored a few goals in training games!”

Hugill has made an impression on United’s first team on every occasion he has played with them, and he was praised by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer while he was the club’s manager.

Hugill’s efforts were tough to ignore at the youth level last year when he scored four goals in one game against fierce rivals Liverpool. Hugill stole the show in the game in question, despite £36 million signing Amad dominating the spotlight.

What was Solskjaer’s response?

“All of them,” the former United manager remarked when asked which players from the youth match versus the Reds he would call up to the senior squad. “I’d pick Joe Hugill based on that game [against Liverpool],” Solskjaer said. “Hugill has four goals and is a good striker, so we’re excited to watch him develop.”

“I’m going to question Joe about why he didn’t take the penalty himself to get five goals, because Amad is off to a tremendous start.” Hugill’s outstanding form could help him break into United’s first team, but things could have gone quite differently had he not moved to Manchester.

While Hugill was still a Sunderland player, other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and United’s long-time rivals Leeds were all circling the Black Cats to sign him.

Ancelotti interested in Manchester United star!

Real Madrid Transfer News: Los Blancos are looking to reinforce their attack in the summer transfer window. For this, Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly targeting Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side is having a commendable season. Having already won the Spanish Super Cup, Madrid are also the favourites to win the LaLiga. To add to this, they have also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

But the Spanish giants are set to lose out on a host of forwards in the summer. Marco Asensio, Luka Jovic, Isco, and Gareth Bale look to be heading out of the club in the next transfer window.

Owing to this, Real Madrid are looking to add firepower to their attack before next season. Hence Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly identified Edinson Cavani as a potential option for next season.

Real Madrid Transfer News: As per the Mirror, Edinson Cavani has reportedly caught Carlo Ancelotti’s eye. The Spanish manager is looking to add the Uruguayan forward to his side in the summer.

Edinson Cavani’s contract with Manchester United will expire at the end of the 2021/22 season. It looks unlikely that the Red Devils will renew his contract. Hence Real Madrid could sign the striker on a free transfer.

The Uruguayan was reportedly headed to Barcelona in January. But the manager Xavi Hernandez eventually took a U-turn and chose to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang instead.

Edinson Cavani has had a season to forget with the Red Devils. The 35-year-old was relegated to the bench following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and hence he has failed to showcase his talent to the fullest.

To make things worse, Cavani has been plagued by injuries throughout the season. Owing to this, the Uruguayan striker has scored just 2 goals in 12 Premier League appearances this season.

Real Madrid reportedly believe that they can convince Edinson Cavani to become the backup for Karim Benzema. Hence they are looking to sign the striker in the summer transfer window.

What about Erling Haaland?

Manchester City reportedly have the advantage in the Erling Haaland deal. The Premier League club is reportedly ready to pay Haaland wages of around €500,000-per-week. Hence, it has to be seen if Los Blancos could sign the Norwegian in the summer.

Liverpool v Manchester United team news: Raphael Varane set to miss crucial game due to injury – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has provided an update on the squad facing Liverpool tomorrow.

It’s not a good look for United, who are expected to miss Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani, Fred and Scott McTominay due to injury.

Rangnick’s side is bereft of options in midfield and will have to somehow make do with a new tactic tomorrow.

Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic look likely to start in midfield, with Bruno Fernandes in an advanced role.

In his press conference, Rangnick stated: “He [Varane] was on the pitch with one of our rehab coaches. With regard to the injured players, it’s the same situation.”

Bruno was involved in a car accident today but is likely to play tomorrow’s game.

“Yes, he was training with the team – obviously the accident happened on the way to Carrington.”

“As far as I know, no one was injured. He was ok and he’ll be ok for tomorrow.”

The Man Utd squad’s mentality will be put to test tomorrow at a hostile Anfield.

The home side are locked in a relentless title race with Manchester City and United have a chance to put a dent in their hopes.

Rangnick spoke about the need to be more aggressive, especially against an opponent like Liverpool if his side want to come out with a result tomorrow.

“For sure, we need to be more compact, more aggressive, more on the front foot but still make sure we have all the players behind the ball.”

“Although we might be the underdogs for most people, we still know that if we raise our level, if we play a top performance, then we have a chance to get three points. This will be our ambition and goal for tomorrow.”
