Arsenal
Dusan Vlahovic should have stayed with Fiorentina, Commisso

Football News: Dusan Vlahovic “ruined” Fiorentina, according to president Rocco Commisso, after he “promised” to prolong his contract but instead chose to join Juventus.
The 22-year-old joined the Old Lady in January for almost €70 million, making him their second most expensive player behind Cristiano Ronaldo. Vlahovic is said to have turned down offers from Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid in order to join Juventus.
Vlahovic scored 20 goals in 24 games for Fiorentina in all competitions during the first half of the season. He signed a contract with La Viola that would have kept him with club till 2026. Despite supposedly agreeing to terms with Fiorentina, Vlahovic chose Juventus instead.
This infuriated Commisso, who believed Vlahovic should have stayed at Fiorentina rather than leaving. He also said that they turned down an offer from Arsenal to replace top scorer Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who left to Barcelona.

“I was in a bad condition,” he told La Gazetta dello Sport, “but things are going better thanks to the doctors and my family. I made a mistake by returning to Italy the first time; I became quite unwell, but I wanted to make Vlahovic think.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t help much. What is the current state of the negotiations for a renewal? When I was here, they went to the bathroom every half hour during the matches, then shot eight net a year, with three million in commission and a percentage from both us and the buying team at the time of the player’s sale.“
“As a result, I granted another centre the authority to move forward. We hadn’t taken anyone in September when the individual who ruined us agreed to renew.
We wanted two strikers to replace him, Commisso

“When we got Piatek and then sought Cabral, he realised we were going to bench him.”
“I don’t know how long they talked to Juventus, but after they turned down Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Arsenal, Juventus shut down the operation in a week.”
“If we kept Vlahovic, we would have done even better than Juventus, which is why he went. At the very least, we made a substantial profit. On Saturday, seeing him on the bench was unusual.”
Vlahovic has struggled to find his feet in Turin, scoring nine goals in 21 appearances. The Serbian started well, but his form has deteriorated in recent weeks.
In the meantime, AC Milan locked up the Serie A title, capping off a disastrous season for Massimiliano Allegri’s team. He was picked as a substitute in Juventus’ 2-0 final-day defeat at Fiorentina on Sunday.

Tammy Abraham keeping his options open to a shocking move to the Gunners

Arsenal News: Tammy Abraham has been a hot property ever since he has left Chelsea. The striker has been in scintillating form for Roma. However, he has left the door open for a summer transfer after a stellar debut season in Serie A.
Abraham scored two goals in a 3-0 win over Torino on Friday night. The striker is turning out to be a bargain for the club because of his performances.
That win qualified them for next season’s Europa League. Abraham’s goals gave him a total of 17 goals in Serie A, a new high for an English player in Italy’s top flight.
In recent months, Arsenal has been linked with a deal for the former Blues academy product. The Gunners want to bring Abraham back to England after only one season in Italy.

Abraham was questioned after his final game of the league season if he will continue to play football at the Stadio Olimpico next season. Abraham admitted that Roma has his heart, but that he isn’t ruling out a summer exit ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
“I love Roma,” Abraham told DAZN (as published by Football Italia). “They’ve given me a chance to show my worth, and I’m ready to take it. We’ll see what the future holds, but my heart will always be here.”
Abraham, Mourinho, and the rest of the Roma group have completed their league season in Italy. However, they still face Feyenoord of the Netherlands in the final of Conference League on Wednesday night.
Abraham is aiming for gold in the competition to cap off the season. The Englishman scored 27 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions while playing for Roma.
“This is a dream come true for Roma fans and the club,” Abraham concluded. “Now that we’ve reached the Final, all we have to do is relax and recover so we can rejoice on Wednesday night.”

Arsenal, with which Abraham is linked, will play Roma in the Europa League next season. They can still qualify for the Champions League if they beat Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season. However, they also want Tottenham to lose against Norwich City, who have already been demoted.
Abraham’s 17 goals in Serie A this season break a 60-year-old record for most league goals by an Englishman in Italy’s top flight.
Former Aston Villa forward Gerry Hitchens had previously held the record. He scored 16 league goals in his first full season at Inter Milan in 1961/62.
