“Leaving Ajax after these incredible years will be difficult. However, I can assure our fans that I will give everything to leave the club with another trophy.”

Ten Hag’s led the Dutch giants to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019. The Dutch giants were within seconds of reaching the final before Lucas Moura’s winner for Tottenham in the sixth minute of added time.

Ajax upset Real Madrid and Juventus in that famous run. It was their first knockout fixture in the Champions League since 1997.

Ten Hag took over as Ajax manager in December 2017. He is on track to win the club’s third league trophy in his four years in charge, after ending the club’s five-year drought for an Eredivisie title in 2019.

The coach has also won two KNVB Cups with the club. He took them to the Champions League Round of 16 this season. They were eliminated by Benfica despite winning all six of their group stage games.

It all started in 2012.

Ten Hag began his coaching career in 2012. He led the Go Ahead Eagles to their first playoff appearance in 17 years. He then moved on to coach Bayern Munich II for two seasons, before taking over as head coach of FC Utrecht in 2015.

Ten Hag took over a team that had placed 11th in the Eredivisie and led them to fifth and fourth place results. He was hired by Ajax in the middle of the 2017-18 season.

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, was also a candidate for the job. As reported in February, Pochettino was the early favourite for the United post. Pochettino had also met with United executives but the Dutchman was chosen.

Ten Hag will have a tough task ahead of him at Old Trafford. The Dutchman will inherit a team that has been disastrous for the whole 2021/22 season. Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and Jesse Lingard, are one of the few names who will be leaving this summerr.

If appropriate offers arrive, a number of other players will be permitted to depart. United hierarchy has assured ten Hag that he will have a say in the club’s recruitment process this summer.

The Price Of Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United Transfer News: To acquire the services of Ajax center back Lisandro Martinez, Premier League powerhouse Manchester United will need to spend at least €30 million

Manchester United Transfer News: The newest player to be added to Manchester United’s transfer wishlist is Ajax center-back Lisandro Martinez. According to the Daily Telegraph, it will cost them at least €30 million this summer.

Martinez is now part of a significant list of players who have previously played for the new manager Erik ten Hag and who are being pursued by the Red Devils in an attempt to add them to their roster.

A deal for former Ajax star Frenkie de Jong is allegedly on the table at Old Trafford as well. Manchester United has been linked with moves for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and winger Antony.

Frenkie de Jong played for Ajax in the past. The tactics that have been described make sense, though, given that ten Hag is tasked with a massive undertaking, and that having familiar individuals around could make the process a little bit simpler.

Manchester United Transfer News: Lisandro Martinez to United?

Raphael Varane, who has had an injury-plagued season, was added to Manchester United’s roster last summer. But, the club is still looking to add new center backs to its roster at this time. The fact that Manchester United’s captain, Harry Maguire, has also underperformed this season has forced the club to explore other solutions.

Martinez is now being considered by Manchester United as one of their many potential alternatives. The Argentine, who is now 24 years old, joined Ajax in 2019. He has played 119 times for the team that is based in Amsterdam since his arrival.

He was selected as the team’s Player of the Year for the most recent campaign. During that, they won two Eredivisie championships.

However, since the defender still has three years left on his contract with the Dutch giants, Manchester United will be required to spend at least €30 million to acquire his services.

Martinez may quickly adapt to the scheme of things. He will give depth to the Manchester United defense because of his experience playing under Hag. It has been reported that Barcelona is also expressing interest in the Argentine player.

Will the move go through?

The guy is versatile enough to also play the role of a defensive midfielder. The Premier League powerhouses might benefit from his ability to do so. Jurrien Timber, who plays with Martinez in the center of Ajax’s defensive unit, is another player who has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford.

Timber is a versatile player who can play in several positions, including right back. This is another position that Manchester United is looking to strengthen in preparation for the next season.

It remains to be seen how many of these current or former Ajax players ten Hag will be able to bring with him to Manchester United as he prepares to undergo a significant roster overhaul in the summer.

The Reds join the race alongside Manchester United for the signature of Antony from Ajax

Liverpool News: According to rumours in his home Brazil, Liverpool would compete with Manchester United for the signing of Ajax winger Antony.

The two English heavyweights are said to have made a ‘concrete’ attempt to sign the brilliant 22-year-old. The winger has impressed at the Johan Cruyff Arena this season under incoming United boss Erik Ten Hag. In 33 games in all competitions, he has scored 12 goals and contributed 10 assists.

Barcelona is also interested in signing Antony this summer. The attacker, though, is said to want a move to the Premier League. United remains the firm favourite for the Brazilian due to his friendship with Ten Hag.

After a poor season, the Red Devils are trying to improve their attacking options. It is believed that Ten Hag would like to bring the former Sao Paulo man to Old Trafford. Antony has become a fan favourite in the Dutch city after working with the 52-year-old for two seasons.

Jadon Sancho has struggled to make an impact since joining United from Borussia Dortmund last summer. Whereas Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have been linked with exits.

United certainly need another right-winger. Antony is familiar with Ten Hag’s style of play, making him a near-perfect match for their system.

Antony has two Eredivisie titles and 22 goals in 79 games for Ajax. He has also made his senior Brazil debut since arriving from Sao Paulo for £18.5 million in 2020.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has been keeping track of Antony’s growth since his debut in Brazil. According to the reports, Jurgen Klopp conducted “frequent follow-ups of the player’s growth.”

Mohamed Salah has yet to sign a new deal, and the fates of Takumi Minamino, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane are unknown.

Erik Ten Hag had nothing but praises for Antony.

Antony is a sneaky and speedy attacker who prefers to attack from the left side. He has a terrific eye for goal and the ability to pick out a pass. Ten Hag has previously praised him for his performances on the pitch.

“It would be a loss for Ajax if Antony left,” Ten Hag told De Telegraaf on Monday. “There is no one in the present squad who can take his place. He is a true professional.”

Ten Hag commented earlier this month regarding Antony’s impact on the Ajax team: “On the right, things are a little slower and less lively without Antony, which makes things more difficult for the team. The spaces grow much smaller after that.

Antony’s current Ajax contract expires in 2025, thus a deal for him could be costly. According to reports, any move may cost between £50 and £60 million.

Man Utd push ahead on first summer transfer deal as Ajax star set to follow Erik ten Hag

Manchester United News: The Red Devils are after Ajax defender Jurrien Timber. The versatile player is valued at £35 million and United wants to bring him to Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag, the new United manager, wants to bring Timber with him. If the reports are to be believed, the two teams are reportedly in negotiations over a deal for the central defender.

Timber, 20, played a key role in ten Hag’s third Dutch triumph with Ajax. The Old Trafford-bound manager is eager to continue their partnership in Manchester.

This summer, United is seeking a striker, a creative and holding midfielder, and a centre-back. They will also target both full-back positions if the proper players become available.

Timber, who shone at Ajax under ten Hag, making 43 appearances in their title-winning season, might be the Dutchman’s first signing at United.

I think all the big clubs in Europe have Timber in their sights,” ten Hag stated when asked about transferring any of Ajax’s players to United. But I believe it is true of many Ajax players now.

“Antony’s departure would be a blow for Ajax. I feel that there is no one in the present squad who can fill his shoes.”

United should concentrate on Ziyech: Marco van Basten.

Ajax great Marco van Basten has curiously instructed Ten Hag to target Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech.

Prior to his move to the Premier League, Ziyech worked with Ten Hag in Amsterdam. The Moroccan international has won trophies at Chelsea, but he has failed to find a regular starting spot. This season, he has only started 12 league games.

However, Marco van Basten appeared on Dutch television on Monday night on Ziggo Sport’s show ‘Rondo’, which had Ten Hag as a guest. The former Netherlands international indicated that Ziyech should consider a move to Old Trafford.

What comes to me today is that I believe Ziyech, who already plays in England, could be an excellent footballer for Erik at Manchester United,” Van Basten stated.

Ten Hag declined to comment on Van Basten’s idea. He claimed that he is used to dealing with transfer rumours.

Ten Hag explained, “Of course, this was already the case at Ajax. You take that in and then you have to keep working well with the dressing room and the rest of the team. You must perform thorough research and make sound decisions.”
