Rice Awoniyi and Lingard all feature in West Ham roundup

Hammers show interest in Lingard, Declan Rice update and Awoniyi eyes Premier League move in West Ham Roundup…

Former Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed his desire to return to the Premier League, alerting the likes of West Ham

Union Berlin’s top scorer with nine goals in 17 appearances this season has been impressing clubs around Europe with his performances and ability to find the back of the net on
a weekly basis

The Hammers will be in the market for a new striker at the end of the season as they failed to land that forward that could bring in 20-plus goals a season, and have been linked with a move for Awoniyi.

Now, amid the speculation surrounding hid future, the attacker has made it clear that returning to a club in England’s top flight is his main ambition.

In an interview with Kicker, the 24-year-old said: “The Premier League is my dream. Everyone knows that, including here at the club.

“If I lived in England it would be easier for my wife and child, if only because of the language. In addition, my sister and brother live in the UK.”

IcFootballnews View…

The Hammers will need to do a whole load of business in the summer to make that next step in their development and unfortunately for Awoniyi, he is not the type of player that the club need

Yes he has been impressive and yes he may get that move to the Premier League, but at the end of the day he is not the man to help the Hammers get back to the top of the game guys

Sky Sports Presenter Wayne Bridge has opened up and revealed that West Ham were interested in signing Jesse Lingard last month from Manchester United

Lingard is a man that has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as many of us pundits firmly believed that he would depart United during the January transfer window

He is not happy with sitting in the bench on a weekly basis, despite the fact he was promised last summer that he would be given more game time this season.

However, with Anthony Martial joining Sevilla on loan and Mason Greenwood currently unavailable for selection, the United board took the decision to keep hold of the Englishman until at least the end of the season.

And Bridge has told GIVEMESPORT that West Ham and and Spurs registered their interest in Lingard last month over a potential summer transfer.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports journalist said: “There was interest from Tottenham and West Ham, but I think that was more for the summer because United would have never considered loaning him this January to either club.”

IcFootballnews View…

Lingard is a man that needs to be playing, he really is a class player that should be on that pitch. The Hammers are the ideal place for him to make a move too and if they are really interested in the player in the summer, they should make a move and make sure that they get some sort of deal all wrapped up.

Manchester City and Manchester United have made advances for West Ham United star Declan Rice ‘in the last six months’, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Rice is one of the most talked about players in the Premier League as he has developed into one of the best holding midfielders in Europe, and a player that is tipped to become world class.

Rice came off the bench to stop the Hammers suffering one of the biggest FA Cup upsets in history when he fired home a stoppage time leveller against Kidderminster Harriers, and after the game David Moyes claimed that it would take £100 million to see him depart the club in the summer

And Jones understands that both Manchester clubs have been strengthening their interest in recent months and Rice would be open to heading north, as he is ready to take that next step in his career.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “One that’s not really talked about as Manchester City. They really like Declan Rice still and it might be that Manchester City appeals to Declan Rice more than United.

“I know that both of those clubs, in the last six months, have checked out his situation just really to be assured that he’s willing to leave London more than anything because, obviously, he’s established himself at West Ham after being at Chelsea and he’s still being talked about going back to Chelsea.

“I know that there was some concern at United and City over whether it was a waste of time and if he would even consider leaving the capital. He would, I’m told.”

IcFootballnews View…

Even though the Hammers are having a great season, £100 million and the lure of playing for either City or United will surely be too hard to turn down, and Hammers fans must be fearing the worst?

Kalajdzic – Timber – Antony feature in Man United news of the day

Man United free to sign Kalajdzic – Antony sends Ten Hag message – Timber will cost £30M in Man United news of the day….

Man United will reportedly have to pay £30million to bring Jurrien Timber to Old Trafford this summer.

Now that Erik Ten Hag has been confirmed as the man that will lead the club into a new era, it will mean that the Dutchman could look to sign a number of players in a summer revamp.

This Man United squad has defensive issues, cannot score the goals the club need and will need to replace both Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, as they will be leaving the club for nothing in the transfer window.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen to sign Ajax defender as he will want to improve that back-line – and according to transfers journalist Ekrem Konur, Man United will have to pay £30 million to get a transfer deal done

The news comes after Florian Plettenberg, a correspondent for Bayern Munich – opened up and claimed that he could be heading for the Premier League giants – Plettenberg said: “Bayern inquired about him but it is said the 20 year-old could join Ten Hag at Manchester United.

“Talks with his management have taken place and Manchester United is seriously interested”

strong>IcFootballnews View…

Now that Ten Hag is the new boss, he will know what players can make an impact on the side and what players cannot

He knows Timber better than anyone, so if he feels that the defender is ready to test himself in the Premier League, then he will make a move

It will be interesting to see if United make a move, as Timber certainly has the ability to make that next step up to one of the big clubs – and to be honest £30 million is not alot of money to pay for a proven Champions League player is it?

Antony issues Ten Hag message…

Possible Man United signing Anthony has sent a message to incoming boss Erik Ten Hag

It is no secret that Man United are just one of a number of clubs that are very interested in trying to secure the services of the talented young man, and are reportedly planning a summer offer

Erik Ten Hag is a man that is on his way to Manchester to become the new boss, and it has been claimed that he wants to make sure that Anthony will be the first signing for the club

Ten Hag brought Antony to Ajax in 2020 and the forward, 22, has racked up 22 goals and 20 assists in his 79 appearances as well as two Eredivisie titles – developing into one of the best wingers in Europe right now

In a farewell video message for the departing boss, Antony – who is reportedly keen to test himself in England – said: “I want to wish you all the best at your new club.

“I also want to thank you for everything you taught me.

“I am thankful all the opportunities and learning every day.

“Know that I will always stand with you if you need me.”

The lad has a very big future in the game and is making all the right noises, but to become world class, he needs to make the right career choices.

And right now, Man United could be a very good option for him to make -especially as he would be working under a manager that has turned him into the player that he is right now

He is skilful – quick – has an eye for goal and an air of confidence that fans would love to see

For the right amount of money – we would love to see him in the Premier League – as we said – he is making all the right noises in the game

So it will be interesting to see if United do decide to make a move for the lad

United free to sign Kalajdzic

Man United transfer target striker Sasa Kalajdzic is set to leave Stuttgart this summer – the German club have announced

It is no secret that Erik Ten Hag is a boss that wants to add a striker to the squad the coming transfer window and has been linked with some superstar players.

There has been alot of speculation about the futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford in recent weeks – with reports that they could still leave the club if they are not guaranteed the game time they desire

The likes of Harry Kane, Lautaro Martinez and Robert Lewandowski are the three strikers that are seemingly wanted by the Red Devils, but the fact they would cost some serious money has meant that Ten Hag is also looking at cheaper alternatives, leading to reports that they are keen on Kalajdzic.

The highly-rated frontman, who stands at 6ft 7 has been impressing over the past few seasons and has also caught the attentions of rivals Chelsea – who are also in the market for a new forward when the transfer window opens up.

Now – the Red Devils have been given a real chance to sign the powerhouse after Stuttgart’s chief Sven Mislintat opened up and confirmed that the giants is all set to depart the club at the end of the season.

Hsaid to Bild about the attacker: “As things stand, we have to generate another significant transfer surplus in this summer of transfers.

“So nothing other than the renewed objective of staying in the league is realistic for me. Especially if you take into account the quality of the already determined promoted teams.

“It would be outstanding if we can keep Sasa as a player and guy in our team. However, in my estimation, this is not very likely.”

IcFootballnews View….

Kalajdzic is a giant of a striker and if United wanted to play the long-ball game – he would be perfect

But he does not suit the style of Ten Hag and we would be very surprised to see him at Man United next season

But we would not be shocked to see him in the Premier League with a lower placed club

Kounde – Dembele – Tuchel feature in Chelsea news of the day

Dembele is tempted my a move away from Barcelona – Chelsea have Kounde agreement – Tuchel admits duo will be at Chelsea in Chelsea news of the day…

It has been claimed that Jules Kounde now has a verbal agreement to join Chelsea in the coming transfer window

Thomas Tuchel is in desperate need of defensive reinforcements after it became apparent that both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are intending to leave the club for Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

The 23-year-old Kounde has been a long-term target of the London club, and will be a statement of intent from new owner Ted Boehly, who has indicted that significant funds will be available.

A deal for the French defender – equally comfortable at right-back or centre-half – is expected to cost the Blues in the region of £60million, and will go through as soon as the club’s takeover is completed

Now – goal have reported that a move has edged just a little bit closer as The 23-year-old now has a verbal agreement in place for a move this summer and wants a move to Stamford Bridge after talks collapsed last summer.

IcFootballnews View…

We have spoken on many occasions over the past few months about the quality that Kounde has already – and if he develops like many are hoping – Chelsea will be signing a real talent

He has the ability to cope in the Premier League and if Thomas Tuchel trusts him enough, he could be one of the best in world football and be the ideal replacement for Jules Kounde

The transfer window is not that far away – so we are sure that an announcement will be coming to the fans in the near future

But hopefully for Chelsea fans – he will not be the only signing that Boehly makes in the transfer window

This Blues side need another defender – another midfielder and definitely a world class striker – it could be an exciting summer

Gallagher and Broja claim made by Tuchel…

Thomas Tuchel has opened up and confirmed that Conor Gallagher and Armano Broja will be at Chelsea for Pre-season

Broja has attracted plenty of interest from rival clubs after netting six Premier League goals for Southampton this season – with many believing that he has the potential to become a top striker in the game

Gallagher is a player that all the big clubs have been circling too with his eight goals for Palace earning him an England Call-up from Gareth Southgate earlier in the season – and many believing he could be the next Frank Lampard

There has been alot of speculation about whether or not they will be given the chances to prove themselves over at Chelsea next season – but now Tuchel says he will give them the opportunity to earn a place in the first team.

Asked if the pair will come back and be part of his squad for next season, Tuchel replied: ‘First of all they will come back, for sure, because they are our players.

‘When we give them on loan we do this for them but also for us, to have better players, more experienced players back.

‘They are our players and I want to have them in pre-season and in pre-season we will decide what’s going on.

‘It’s heavily linked to them, it’s heavily linked to how they integrate and what they do and what our ideas are for them and what they want to reach

‘And it’s heavily linked to our sanctions and the situation around the club, so it’s too early to predict the future for them and their role for the whole season, but they will be back in pre-season that’s for sure.’

IcFootballnews View…

This is the news that many Chelsea fans wanted to hear as they have been brilliant on loan this season

The fans will want to see some big-time players also make the move to Stamford Bridge – but they love their own and would be disappointed if the duo opted to leave on a more permanent basis

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says long-term Chelsea target Ousmane Dembele is “tempted” by a possible departure this summer

Since his move to the Spanish giants a good few seasons ago now – There has been many questions as to whether the Frenchman will ever be able to live upto the hype which prompted Barcelona to make a move and get a deal done

Numerous injuries have impact his playing time at the Camp Nou – and it has been suggested on many occasions that Barca are ready to cut their loses and let the attacker leave – but that has not happened either

However, he has looked like a player that could be one of the best as Dembele is La Liga’s assist leader with 13 from just 20 games in the Spanish league – but that hasnt stopped the rumours that Chelsea are ready to make an offer for him in the transfer window

He is out of contract at the club – and with no immediate deal on the table – it is much more likely departs the club rather than stays – even though boss Xavi has admitted he would like him to stay.

Now, Laporta has come out and told the likes of Chelsea that Dembele is tempted by a transfer move: “He wants to stay, but he is very tempted by other options that offer better conditions,” he told Catalunya Radio.

“The offer has been presented for a long time and they have asked us for time until the end of the season, next week.

“We already wanted an answer before, but we can’t force it because Dembele ends his contract. The coach and I like him. We have made a very important effort to keep him.

“I see him very comfortable. There is a good personal relationship with everyone. [Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang] has come, with him and they are very good friends.

“He has some representatives who control the situation, but I hope he stays. If not, we will strengthen that position.”

IcFootballnews View…

Look, Chelsea do need to add something to that attack – but is Dembele really a player they need right now?

DCL – Gakpo – Turner feature in Arsenal news of the day

Matt Turner excited about move – DCL prefers move to Arsenal – Cody Gakpo makes transfer claim in Arsenal news of the day….

Incoming Arsenal signing Matt Turner says he is ‘really excited’ to work with Aaron Ramsdale.

Turner is set to officially join the Gunners this summer after the premier League giants made the decision early in the season to sign the American big man

Turner was named MLS goalkeeper of the year last season, has made 109 appearances for New England Revolution and has 16 caps for the USA 0 but he has admitted that he is really excited about the move to London.

He’ll face a steep climb to unseat incumbent goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has been brilliant for the Gunners between the sticks this season – but has admitted that he is looking forward to working with the Englishman

‘I’m really excited to get to know Aaron Ramsdale,’ Turner told the Major League Soccer YouTube channel. ‘He has loads of experience throughout every top league in England and he’s had a great season.

‘Speaking to him and getting to know him and developing that working relationship will be great, and then challenging him to become better and allowing him to help me to become better too.’

IcFootballnews View…

This is a massive step up for the man and Arsenal fans will be hoping that he is a success, as it is a risk by Mikel Arteta to bring him to the club

He will not get much game time as Ramsdale is the clear number one – but he will be given the opportunity to shine and when that days comes – he needs to make sure that he does not mess up

Arsenal fans are expecting numerous signings in the transfer window – so it will be interesting to see what players follow Turner into the Emirates

But he will be welcomed by the fans that is for sure

Gakpo interested in move….

PSV ace Cody Gakpo has revealed he’s open to a transfer if he’s guaranteed regular football amid interest from Arsenal.

It is no secret in the media Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could be heading out of Arsenal in the transfer after failing to impress like many had hoped and scored the goals that Mikel Arteta needed.

And that has led to many reports in the media that Arsenal are very much interested in a deal for Gakpo, who is fast becoming one of the most sought after young players in Europe right now

The winger, who mainly operates on the left, has hit 21 goals in all competitions for the Eindhoven club this season, and has also provided 16 assists and his performances is attracting all sorts of interest

Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on the Dutch star – who has recently broken into the national team – but Gakpo doesn’t want the risk of being sat on the bench of a foreign club ahead of November’s World Cup

Gakpo declared he’s yet to make a decision on his future this summer – but has now admitted that anything can happen in the coming transfer window – Gakpo told De Telegraaf: “Anything can happen this summer. I will now calmly compare all the options and see what is best for me. Staying another year is also an option.

“It would be a shame if I went somewhere where I wouldn’t get a [game] at all and I could miss the World Cup. I’ll keep that in mind.”

IcFootballnews View…

Look, if Arsenal do decide to make a move and make a serious offer to the Dutch giants, it would be very hard for Gakpo to turn down such a move to a club that is one of the biggest in Europe.

He is a real talent and a real source of goals – so he would definitely bring something to this Arsenal side – who have been lacking goals in recent weeks

But they will need to make sure that they get him for the right amount of money guys

DCL prefers Arsenal move –

Noel Whelan believes Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin will still prefer a move to Arsenal – even though they have not made a move yet

There is no doubt in the media that Mikel Arteta will be handed some funds in order to sign a striker that will solve all their problems, and that can score the goals that will take them back to the top

That has led to all sorts of speculation that Arsenal are ready to pay the big money and bring Calvert-Lewin to the Emirates – despite the very poor season that he has had with the relegation threatened Everton.

But despite the fact that Arsenal have switched their attentions to other potential targets in the summer – Whelan has come out and claimed that Calvert-Lewin is prepared to make a move to the Emirates if they firm up their interest.

He tells Football Insider: “I still believe he would suit Arsenal more than Newcastle.

“But at the same time, if Newcastle are the side stepping up the talks – then that onus has just been put on Arsenal and Mikel Arteta to react.

“They’re trying to get the business done early and get the representatives sat down to try and reach a deal.

“I think Calvert-Lewin will probably be hoping Arsenal come in. The window isn’t even open yet, so this is one I can see going on all summer.”

IcFootballnews View…

Look, we all believe that Lampard does want to keep hold of Calvert-Lewin – he is a brilliantly gifted striker.

But will the EVERTON board reject an offer of £80 million if it came in? We do not think so

Arsenal are a massive club that just need a couple of big signings that will send a statement to the rest of the Premier League – who wouldnt want to join them

But DCL is not worth £80 million – that is silly money
