Mohamed Salah reveals key reason why it was easy to play against Manchester United – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United were once again embarrassed by Liverpool at Anfield, losing 4-0.

Mohamed Salah scored a brace, with Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz netting the other two, in what was a dominant display by the home side.

United could not get hold of the ball in the first half, and their weaknesses were exposed by Jurgen Klopp’s side.

For the first 10-15 minutes of the second half, United looked half decent before conceding another sloppy goal.

Ralf Rangnick’s reaction to the third goal summed up his overall feeling, frustrating.

After the match, Salah was asked why his record against Man Utd was so good.

He replied: “They make our life easier in the midfield and the back.”

This is a damning assessment by a rival play and highlights just how poor United’s midfield is.

Time and time again United have been overrun in the centre of the park by teams inferior to them in quality.

Tonight’s midfield of Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Bruno Fernandes were completely destroyed by Liverpool’s midfield trio.

The amount of space left for Klopp’s side to exploit was embarrassing.

Thiago was colossal in the middle and controlled the entire game.

United have now been demolished both home and away this season by their biggest rivals.

It cannot get any worse for a United fan.

Andre Trindade

Barcelona Compete For Andre Trindade

Barcelona Transfer News: Andre Trindade, a promising young Brazilian midfielder, has garnered the attention of several top teams in Europe, including Barcelona and Liverpool

Barcelona Transfer News: Andre Trindade, a promising midfield prospect for Fluminense, is reportedly garnering a lot of attention from clubs in Europe. Illustrious teams like Liverpool and Barcelona are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old player, as reported by a Brazilian newspaper known as NETFLU.

Andre Trindade rose through the ranks of the Fluminense development program before making his debut with the first squad in September 2020. Ever since then, he has been a mainstay in the lineup for the club.

The promising young midfielder has already racked up 70 senior-level appearances for the Brazilian powerhouses. During that time he has contributed two goals and two assists each.

About the report:

Andre is a defensive midfielder by profession. But he has shown flexibility thus far in his young career by demonstrating the ability to play higher up in the center of the pitch or even as a right-sided midfielder. His career is still in its infancy.

But he has already accomplished a great deal. The 20-year-old player has garnered attention from teams all around Europe as a result of his talent, which has not gone ignored.

According to the source, Liverpool has lately sent scouts to see the young midfield prospect, Andre. This indicates that the Reds are developing a strong interest in the player.

As a result of Liverpool’s recent acquisition of Marcelo Pitaluga, a promising young goalkeeper from Fluminense, the Reds have a positive connection with the Brazilian club. In addition to that, they may consider poaching Andre Trindade, who is another talented player.

However, Liverpool may have some competition for the 20-year-old prodigy from La Liga powerhouse Barcelona. They are also keeping an eye on him. The Catalans have a long tradition of scouting out promising young players in Brazil and giving them opportunities to develop in the club’s first squad.

Barcelona Transfer News: Will Barcelona make a move for him?

The club needs a long-term successor for Sergio Busquets. So, Andre Trindade may be someone who can be developed into the position that will eventually be vacated by Busquets.

The young Brazilian is drawing attention not just from Liverpool and Barcelona, but also from the Italian club Udinese and the Dutch club AFC Ajax. Andre Trindade extended his tenure with Fluminense by signing a new deal with the club last year. This would keep him there until 2024.

Both Liverpool and Barcelona are now only observing the player and seeing how he develops.

So, their interest in him is in the very early stages at this time. It is still unknown which of the two clubs will decide to further up their chase of Andre Trindade during the current offseason or during a future transfer window.

The Reds join the race alongside Manchester United for the signature of Antony from Ajax

Liverpool News: According to rumours in his home Brazil, Liverpool would compete with Manchester United for the signing of Ajax winger Antony.

The two English heavyweights are said to have made a ‘concrete’ attempt to sign the brilliant 22-year-old. The winger has impressed at the Johan Cruyff Arena this season under incoming United boss Erik Ten Hag. In 33 games in all competitions, he has scored 12 goals and contributed 10 assists.

Barcelona is also interested in signing Antony this summer. The attacker, though, is said to want a move to the Premier League. United remains the firm favourite for the Brazilian due to his friendship with Ten Hag.

After a poor season, the Red Devils are trying to improve their attacking options. It is believed that Ten Hag would like to bring the former Sao Paulo man to Old Trafford. Antony has become a fan favourite in the Dutch city after working with the 52-year-old for two seasons.

Jadon Sancho has struggled to make an impact since joining United from Borussia Dortmund last summer. Whereas Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have been linked with exits.

United certainly need another right-winger. Antony is familiar with Ten Hag’s style of play, making him a near-perfect match for their system.

Antony has two Eredivisie titles and 22 goals in 79 games for Ajax. He has also made his senior Brazil debut since arriving from Sao Paulo for £18.5 million in 2020.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has been keeping track of Antony’s growth since his debut in Brazil. According to the reports, Jurgen Klopp conducted “frequent follow-ups of the player’s growth.”

Mohamed Salah has yet to sign a new deal, and the fates of Takumi Minamino, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane are unknown.

Erik Ten Hag had nothing but praises for Antony.

Antony is a sneaky and speedy attacker who prefers to attack from the left side. He has a terrific eye for goal and the ability to pick out a pass. Ten Hag has previously praised him for his performances on the pitch.

“It would be a loss for Ajax if Antony left,” Ten Hag told De Telegraaf on Monday. “There is no one in the present squad who can take his place. He is a true professional.”

Ten Hag commented earlier this month regarding Antony’s impact on the Ajax team: “On the right, things are a little slower and less lively without Antony, which makes things more difficult for the team. The spaces grow much smaller after that.

Antony’s current Ajax contract expires in 2025, thus a deal for him could be costly. According to reports, any move may cost between £50 and £60 million.
