Lacazette Wijnaldum and Arteta all feature in Arsenal roundup

Big Lacazette claim made, Arsenal in talks to sign Wijnaldum and Arteta urged to sign two players in Arsenal roundup…

Danny Mills reckons Alexandre Lacazette could yet be given a new Arsenal deal.

Lacazette is a man that has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as there has been alot of speculation ion the media that he will not be getting a new contract at the Emirates

The Gunners have banished Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from their first team and have also stripped him of their captaincy, and In his absence, Lacazette has worn the armband and has contributed to the Gunners’ return to form in recent weeks.

Now, Mills believes the attacker might now be given a new Arsenal deal as the club looks to sell Aubameyang: “He’s maybe looking at it now and thinking ‘The Aubameyang situation, he could be going and we don’t really have another striker’. Maybe that’s given him a bit of a boost and a bit of a lift.” He tells Football Insider.

“He might be thinking ‘This a great opportunity, maybe I can stay and be part of Arteta’s plans’.

“It’s just how it happens sometimes. It’s not fallen lucky but he’s got an opportunity and at the moment, he’s grasping it.”

Lacazette is a player that only really starts to shine when he is in need of a new contract, and once again, that is happening. He is never going to be a striker that will bang in 20 goals a seasons, and to be honest, he is just taking up space

If he gets that new contract likes Mills expects, then it will e a shame because it is about time that Arsenal step up their chase to sign a striker that can lead them back into challenging for that Premier League title

Not stick with one that just makes up the numbers

Arsenal are being linked with a move for Georginio Wijnaldum in this January transfer window.

The transfer window has been open for a good few days now and still, there is no movement from the Arsenal board about bringing in players that will add to this current crop of players.

Arteta has lost Thomas Partey and midfield partner Mohamed Elneny this month as Both are set to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations, for Ghana and Egypt respectively.

And with Ainsley Maitland-Niles expected to join Roma on loan this January and Albert Sambi Lokonga still extremely inexperienced, Arsenal will be lacking that power in the centre of midfield.

That has led to reports and rumours in the media that Arsenal will surely need to bring in at least one midfielder before they face Tottenham on January 16, as what they currently have will not be good enough to keep in that race for a top four spot.

Now reports have claimed Arsenal are now eyeing a January loan move for the former Newcastle man, according to Todofichajes.

The report claims Arsenal and their French counterpart are now discussing a temporary transfer until the end of the season.

The Dutchman excelled for Liverpool in a midfield three, showing technical security, strength and intelligence in the middle of the park. He was one of the key performers both in the Reds’ Champions League and Premier League titles, and was a player that Klopp did not want to leave.

There is no doubt that the Dutchman has flopped at PSG, that is despite the fact he was one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League.

However, despite his lack of game time at PSG, The midfielder would bring a winning mindset and important experience to the Arsenal dressing room.

Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to make two key signings in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly open to selling the Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month after he has fallen out of favour with boss Mikel Arteta.

Meanwhile, the futures of fellow strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are also in doubt with the pair’s current deals set to expire at the end of the season, and there is a feeling that they will both likely depart the club.

Arsenal hero Campbell believes that all three stars will end up leaving the club and has called on the Gunners to sign two new strikers to fill the void they will leave.

‘I think we need two strikers. I really think we need two because Aubameyang, Lacazette and Eddie,’ he told the Highbury Squad Podcast.

‘I think they are all going to be gone. [Folarin] Balogun is going to go on-loan, so he is learning, so I think we are going to need two strikers.’

Mikel Arteta has got the good vibes rolling again at the Emirates and there is a big feeling in the media that some big time signings will take them to the next level.

There is no doubt that the Gunners need to splash the cash a little bit this transfer window, and if the board truly feel like he is the man to take the club forward, then they need to give him the funds to complete the signings that he wants

The Gunners need a striker and maybe another midfielder, if they get those, it could be a very good season for the club this time around.

Juventus and Barcelona approach Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Published

Arsenal Transfer News: The Gunners have been looking to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window. And it seems that Barcelona and Juventus might be eager to help them out.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy and was banished from the first team in December. Mikel Arteta reportedly did this as the striker had committed a disciplinary breach.

The Gabonese striker returned without playing in the Africa Cup of Nations after suffering heart lesions after a positive Covid test. But further tests soon concluded that Aubameyang would thankfully be fit to play.

The Arsenal management though does not want him at the club anymore. The striker has not been allowed to even train with the first team since December. Hence, it is looking increasingly likely that Aubameyang would leave in the next few days.

Arsenal Transfer News: Barcelona and Juventus enquire about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal News: Juventus and Barcelona approach Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

As per Sky Sports, Barcelona and Juventus are interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal. But a deal has not been made with either club yet.

FC Barcelona are fresh from signing Adama Traore on a loan in the winter transfer window. The Blaugrana have also signed Ferran Torres but are still looking to sign a striker in January. Hence, they are reportedly monitoring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign on a loan move.

Following the retirement of Sergio Aguero, Luuk de Jong and Memphis Depay have taken over the number 9 role. But both the players have been inconsistent in front of the goal which has directly been seen in Barcelona’s form.

Juventus are also on a high following the signing of Dusan Vlahovic. The Old Lady beat the Gunners themselves to secure the signing of the Serbian striker. Owing to this, they are now looking to offload Alvaro Morata.

The Atletico Madrid striker is on loan at Juventus until the end of the season. But he has not found form in front of goal, hence the Old Lady are wanting to end the loan move. Hence, they are willing to onboard Aubameyang to increase the depth of their squad.

Though there is interest, it is unlikely that any club will be willing to pay the salary of the striker. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang currently earns a whopping £350,000 at Arsenal. Hence, it has to be seen if any other European club would be interested in paying the astronomical amount.

Are any other clubs interested in signing the Arsenal star?

Apart from Barcelona and Juventus, other European clubs are also monitoring the Gabonese striker. As per reports, Marseille, Sevilla, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan have all expressed an interest in the striker.

Saudi Arabian clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, had also approached Arsenal earlier in the month. But Aubameyang has declined a move to Saudi Arabia.

Chambers delighted with transfer move, Arsenal to sign Turner claims manager and Gunners told £40 million for Neves in Arsenal roundup…

Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the head of Arsenal linked Ruben Neves

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta NEEDS to strengthen his Arsenal squad over the course of the transfer window as a number of injuries and Covid-19 outbreaks have devastated his Gunners squad.

That has led to many reports that he will look to improve the squad and add another defender, midfielder and striker to the attack in order to keep in that chase to get back inside the top sour spots

The Gunners were reportedly in talks with Arthur Melo’s agent and were keen to sign the 25-year-old on loan before the January transfer window closes, but he has performed a u-turn and will now not leave Juventus this month

That led to reports in the media that Arsenal have contacted Wolves about a possible transfer deal for Neves, and have even opened talks about a possible January transfer deal.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has attracted a lot of interest since he helped his side gain promotion to the Premier League, and it was thought that he would not be sold at any price.

Now, according to Sun Sport, Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the 24-year-old, a fee that Arsenal are more than prepared to pay

IcFootballnews View…

Guys if the reports are true and Arsenal are in talks to sign one of the most gifted players in the Premier League, them he would be a quality signing for the club

Neves is far too good to be playing for Wolves and a move to a club like Arsenal may mean that he develops into an even better player, much like Diogo Jota has done at Liverpool

Arsenal need to make sure that they get this transfer deal done

USA manager Gregg Berhalter has all but confirmed that MLS goalkeeper of the year Matt Turner will be heading to Arsenal.

Bernd Leno is understandably keen on playing more football after being usurped as Arsenal’s No 1 by Aaron Ramsdale, and that has led to many reports in the media which have suggested that he could leave the club this transfer window

And if the German was to leave, Turner appears to be their top target to replace him, with reports suggesting that the Gunners board have already made an offer to bring him to the Premier League

The American was once an undrafted college footballer, but the USA no.1 has reportedly agreed terms over a summer move to Arsenal, signalling the end for Bernd Leno.

Berhalter said after the USA beat El Salvador 1-0 in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday: “[Turner] Went to Fairfield University, was undrafted out of college, now he’s playing with the national team and he’s headed to Arsenal.

“It’s just an amazing story and it’s all down to him, his work ethic, his belief in himself and his never give up attitude.

“It’s a great story and Matt is a great guy, a great teammate and we’re lucky to have him.

“Tonight was an example of where he did everything that he had to do. He was calm in all situations. Wasn’t tested much but was there when we needed him and he looked like a player that’s going to Arsenal, for sure.”

Ramsdale is a brilliant stopper that is easily the number one at the Emirates, so the Gunners do not need to splash alot of cash and bring in somebody that could upset the dynamics at the Emirates

Turner will have alot to prove at the club, but he has been impressing and the Gunners clearly see something in him which will make them believe he is the ideal man to replace Leno if he leaves the club

This will be a massive step up though, and surely a dream move for the man

Callum Chambers has admitted his delight at signing for Aston Villa after deciding to leave Arsenal

Since the arrival of Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa have been showing some real ambition in the transfer window and have done a number of deals that have impressed many pundits

Philippe Coutinho, Lucas Digne and Robin Olsen have all been players that Gerrard has managed to bring to the club and now, he has managed to convince Chambers to make the move to the Villians

Chambers told Aston Villa’s club website: “It’s a massive club and they’re in a great moment at this moment in time.

“It’s a very exciting place to be and everyone can see that from the outside. Things are happening here and it’s definitely moving in the right direction.

“For me, it was a no-brainer to join a great club. It was the right thing for me to do. It’s a great club, it’s a massive club. I’ve played at Villa Park a few times and it’s great stadium with a great set of fans.

“The manager did very well at Rangers. He’s a young, exciting manager and I can’t wait to work with him.

“It’s a great stage to be joining the club at. The club’s building momentum and it’s an exciting time to be here. You can really feel that being in and around the building. You can feel the energy around the place.

“I feel like I’ve joined at a great time and I can’t wait to get started and give it my all.”

Chambers has never really been able to prove himself at the Emirates so now is the right time to leave the club as it will give him the chance to reignite his career, this is a great move for the man
