Manchester United News: Cristiano Ronaldo is crucial to Anthony Elanga’s future as well as Manchester United’s.

Ronaldo scored his 18th Premier League goal against Brentford to close to within two goals of Mohamed Salah in the battle for the Golden Boot.

Elanga thinks that the Portugal international has a lot of clout behind the scenes at United because of the counsel he gives to young players like him.

Ronaldo, according to the attacker, is always talking to him and helping him better. “You can see his record and the number of goals he’s scored in the Premier League; I believe it’s over 100 currently,” Elanga remarked.

“He knows what it takes to rise to the top, so speaking with someone like that is more than appropriate. And, yes, we have a pre-game or even during-game talk. We may be seen in the warm-up.”

“He’ll talk to me and Sancho about what we can do in the game to effect the game, and having someone like that on the team is crucial. He’s someone I look up to, talk to, and seek guidance from. He’s a unique player to collaborate with.”

When he lay on one of Ronaldo’s shots for his hat-trick against Norwich, the two set a new Premier League record for the largest age gap between an assist maker and goal scorer.

Double Siuu

Ronaldo requested Elanga to join him in his signature double ‘Siuu’ goal celebration versus Norwich. Elanga, 20, was flattered to be invited and quipped that Ronaldo did a better job with the ‘Siuu’ than he did.

“The double ‘Siuu’ was a thrilling time,” he remarked. “I was not expecting it.” I answered ‘good enough’ when he said ‘let’s do it,’ but as you can see in the video, I didn’t get in the air correctly. I went ahead and did it anyhow, and it was a memorable experience.”

Elanga has been taken under Ronaldo’s wing. The young Sweden international has been taught to keep an eye out for each other whenever they make a run into the opposition box.

“We discussed how we’re going to work in terms of pressuring before,” he stated. “If I have a chance to look up, and if he gets a chance to look up for me because I’ll be in the box or he’ll be in the box, I’ll be in the box.” It’s a lot of fun for me.”

Elanga set up Bruno Fernandes for United’s first goal against Brentford. He now has three goals and two assists in his first season with the club. He is starting ahead of Marcus Rashford, and he acknowledges that his progress this season has shocked him.

I probably didn’t imagine I’d be doing exactly what I’m doing now at the start,” he admitted. “At the same time, you never know and you always believe in yourself. Individually, I’m quite thrilled with what’s going on. We can still do better as a group, and we shall do better.”

Manchester United 3-2 Norwich City: The Red Devils welcomed the Canaries to Old Trafford on Saturday. Ralf Rangnick and his side knew how crucial the three points were to remain in the top four race in the Premier League.

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up once again for Manchester United as his hat-trick helped his side win the Premier League game. In this article, we will look at four major points from the game as Manchester United beat Norwich City 3-2.

The Portuguese maestro stepped up once again when his team needed him the most. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a sensational hat-trick at Old Trafford to help Manchester United beat Norwich City 3-2 in the Premier League.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 7th minute after Anthony Elanga set him up for a tap-in. The striker would then add a second from a Telles corner to make it 2-0 for Manchester United in the 32nd minute.

Norwich City came back into the game, making the scoreline 2-2, but Cristiano Ronaldo was not done. The Portuguese icon scored a powerful freekick in the 76th minute to make it 3-2 and effectively ended the hopes of the away players and fans.

Premier League: Norwich City fought back Valiantly!

Even though Manchester United went up 2-0 by the 32nd minute, the Canaries did not hold back. Kieran Dowell pulled a goal back for Norwich just before the halftime whistle to keep the score at 2-1.

In the second half, Norwich City had a few more chances and eventually scored through Teemu Pukki to make the score 2-2. The Canaries could have even scored a third but De Gea came to Manchester United’s rescue.

Norwich City had a commendable 15 shots but only 4 of these were on target. The Canaries also had an expected goals ratio of 1.57 compared to the 1.44 of United in the Premier League game. Hence, if not for Cristiano Ronaldo, Norwich would have walked away with at least one point from Old Trafford.

Anthony Elanga shines for United!

The 19-year-old Swedish winger was given another start in the Premier League. Anthony Elanga stood up to his manager’s trust as he provided Cristiano Ronaldo with a superb assist to break the shackles in the 7th minute.

The winger was a constant threat to Norwich City’s defence throughout the game. Hence, outside of Ronaldo, Anthony Elanga stood out for Manchester United in their attacking third.

Rangnick criticised two players after Leicester draw

Manchester United news: The Red Devils played a 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Leicester took the lead in the game through Kelechi Iheanacho in the 63rd minute but they couldn’t hold on to that lead for long. Fred scored the equalizer for the Manchester-based club just three minutes after Iheanacho’s goal.

The Foxes looked to have scored the winner through James Maddison during the final minutes of the game. However, his goal was disallowed after consultation from the VAR as Iheanacho fouled Rafael Varane in the build-up to the goal.

The draw is a huge dent in the Red Devils’ hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils managed to win just one of their last four league fixtures. They were also knocked out of this season’s UEFA Champions League after losing to Atletico Madrid in a round-of-16 tie last month.

The Red Devils’ manager Ralf Rangnick criticized Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga after a 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

Sancho missed an opportunity to score a winner for United late in stoppage time as he blazed his shot into the crowd from inside the penalty box.

Elanga was carelessly flagged offside when Marcus Rashford was approaching the six-yard box, shaping up to shoot at goal late in the second half.

Speaking to the media, Ralf Rangnick said: “Jadon should have taken two touches on the far post when Fofana slipped. And had Anthony Elanga stayed away from that ball when Marcus Rashford would have been completely free and either probably scored or it would have been a penalty.

Jadon Sancho joined the Reds Devils for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the current season. However, he failed to justify his huge price tag, scoring just three goals in 25 league appearances so far. His performances for United received a lot of criticism from pundits and fans alike.

Sancho is among the best dribblers in the world but he tried just two dribbles against Leicester and completed just one. There are reports claiming that the Red Devils will look to cut their losses at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Elanga break into the Red Devils squad this season. He scored three goals in 13 Premier League games so far.

Erik ten Hag will try to sign winger Antony if he gets Man United manager job – Man United News And Transfer News

Erik ten Hag will try to make Brazilian star Antony one of his first signings if he becomes manager of Manchester United, according to a new report.

The 22 year old has been in fine form for Ten Hag’s current side, Ajax, this season, scoring 12 goals and registering 10 assists over the course of 33 matches.

He has also already played eight times for Brazil, netting two goals.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, is favourite to become United’s next boss and was interviewed for the position last week, according to reports.

The Telegraph’s James Ducker reports that ‘If Ten Hag moves clubs this summer, it is thought he would be interested in signing Antony… who has impressed under him at Ajax and is earning a growing band of admirers.’

Signing a right winger would have seemed like the least of United’s priorities just a few months ago, when Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood were fighting for a starting berth in that position each week.

However, Sancho has enjoyed a renaissance having been swapped to the left by Ralf Rangnick following the poor form of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, now on loan at Sevilla.

He is therefore likely to stay on that flank unless the new manager has other ideas.

Greenwood, meanwhile, has been suspended by the club following criminal investigations.

19-year-old Anthony Elanga has shown great promise in the role under Rangnick and his presence may ultimately mean that other positions, such as centre back, right back, defensive midfielder and striker, will still take priority.

However, it is important that the squad has options in each position and with a transfer value of just under £30 million (source: transfermarkt.com), Antony could be an excellent and exciting addition to the squad.

With Elanga present and Martial likely to return after his loan spell, training sessions could be in danger of getting confusing when the shout goes out to ‘give it to Ant(h)ony on the wing!’
