Chelsea’s shock loss opens up top 4 battle again – Talk Chelsea

Oh Chelsea. They do like to make things difficult for themselves.

Every time they look to be building a lead over those teams chasing them for a Champions League place, they slip up unexpectedly and allow their pursuers fresh hope.

This time, after a weekend where Arsenal and Spurs lost and Manchester United were thrashed, the Blues had the perfect chance to break away once and for all.

Last night they faced the Gunners, fresh from 3 defeats on the spin and just begging to have their season buried at Stamford Bridge. Any new betting sites in the UK would have had Thomas Tuchel’s team as favourites at home, a week after going to Madrid and beating Real.

But in the end the game was a horrific series of calamitous defensive errors, and Arsenal somehow pulled off a 4-2 win. That brings Chelsea right back into the mix, with the Blues now just 5 points ahead of both North London clubs.

We do still have a game in hand – but our fixtures aren’t the easiest, and if we continue to play in such an inconsistent way, the battle is sure to go to the end of the season.

This Sunday we play West Ham, who beat us earlier this season and look like a really serious outfit this season. Our only hope is that they’re distracted by their Europa League efforts.

After that comes Manchester United – struggling but still dangerous considering the talent they have, especially at Old Trafford.

Then a fascinating game against Frank Lampard’s Everton side who fighting to survive – played at a rabid Goodison Park.

That run of 3 games alone is pretty nasty, and it’s not inconceivable we lose all 3. If we do drop points and Spurs and Arsenal keep winning, we’re going to be in a very sweaty situation going into the final weeks.

It will likely still be in our hands (unless things really do go horribly wrong), but those final 3 games are no pushover either – Wolves, Leicester and Leeds.

We’re still heavy favourites to get it done, but in reality we should be pushing for 1st, not fighting for fourth, and the way that the whole campaign has dropped off so suddenly is a real disappointment.

Still, at least with so many big games to play, there’s plenty of scope to earn some big wins and put a smile on everyone’s faces for the long summer ahead.

Mbappe To Real Madrid? Mother Gives Update On Son’s Move To Spain; Amid PSG Extension Talks

There has been a lot of talk about the future of Kylian Mbappe and his potential move to Real Madrid. Many in the media and Pundits around the globe have suggested that he will leave PSG this summer. The player wants to play for Los Blancos, as confirmed by him too. The interest from both parties is serious, though his unreal wage demands could be an issue for the La Liga side.

Both teams want to have the player who is tagged world-class by almost everyone who has seen him play. With that being said, Real Madrid and Perez have been pushing for a deal. Despite that, nothing has been done yet, as per some reports. On the other hand, there are other stories that suggest things are done with either club in the driving seat.

Kylian Mbappe To Real Madrid Is A DEAL DONE

What Did Mbappe’s Mother Fayza Lamari Say About The Real Madrid Off Amid PSG Trying To Retain Her Son?

Well, as the old saying goes, “MOTHER KNOWS BEST”!! Keeping that in mind, Mbappe’s mother has now come out and given an update regarding her son’s future. She has talked about what is on the table and what is the major difference in the deals offered to her son.

Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari spoke to Kora Plus in a recent interview when asked about the potential move to Real Madrid. She said, “The two offers, the one from PSG and the one from Real Madrid, are almost identical. At Real, my son will have control of his image rights. Now we will wait for his decision… The two offers do not differ much and we are waiting to let Mbappé choose what he wants.”

“We will not have new meetings to discuss the future of Mbappé, these meetings are over. Now we have reached an agreement with both Real Madrid and PSG. The current discussions are over because now it is Kylian who has to choose.”

Well, this is an interesting transfer saga that just does not seem to end. There are a lot of ups and downs with regards to his future, though both PSG and Real Madrid will hope that they can have Mbappe next season.

Barcelona Has Been Declared As The MOST VALUABLE CLUB IN THE WORLD By Forbes

As per FORBES, based on a report from last year, the Catalan giants head the list of MOST VALUABLE clubs. Barcelona has a total net worth of $4.76b as per the report but is considered to be of higher value than any other football club in the world. Barca beat rivals Real Madrid to claim this title, which can be said to be an achievement in itself.

This is according to the prestigious North American business and finance magazine, which ranked Barcelona at no. 1. Real Madrid is a close second priced at $4.75b. The top spot was monopolized by two teams for the last 16 years. The champions of Spain had it five times, while Premier League’s Manchester United was on top for another 11 times.

The world’s 20 most valuable soccer teams are valued at $2.28b apiece. This is an increase of 30% from a couple of years ago, the last time that FORBES had done this evaluation. This was a positive thing for the game itself, as the pandemic hadn’t really impacted the overall growth of these franchises.

FC Barcelona Is The Most Valuable Club At Present And The Fans Would Be Delighted

Though the club from Spain has been in sort of a financial crisis in recent seasons they have managed to handle it in a smart way. Letting go of Lionel Messi was a great decision, considering that the player has had a poor season. Further, it reduced a lot of the wage bill and Barcelona was able to add more quality in various departments.

Keeping that in mind, this title will be huge for the former champs of Spain. Though they had an average season and may end it on a high, this tag would surely hold true if they can rebuild under Xavi. A lot of things have changed around the Nou Camp in recent times.

However, the tag could surely help them rebuild from scratch. Let’s wait and watch whether Xavi is the right man moving forward or not. Things are looking good at present and the atmosphere is rather positive. Hopefully, it lasts in the upcoming campaigns too!!
