Chelsea will allow Jorginho to leave this summer

Published

Chelsea have decided that they will not hand Jorginho a new deal and will allow him to leave in the coming transfer window.

Jorginho has enjoyed a superb couple of years for club and country, starring in Chelsea’s Champions League win and Italy’s European Championships triumph in 2021, with his performances earning him a Ballon d’Or nomination.

However, there has been alot of speculation that he could depart the club at the end of the season, and a move back to Italy has been mooted for the midfielder, meaning that Thomas Tuchel would need an immediate replacement.

Now 90 Min have claimed that Chelsea have decided that they will not hand Jorginho that new contract, with his current deal running out at the end of 2023, and would rather sell him this transfer window, then let him leave for nothing.

AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma or Napoli are keen, and it is believed that the Blues would accept a fee of around £30 million for the Italian

The midfielder’s representative Joao Santos recently specified his client could go to “AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma or Napoli” and admitted he also held talks with Paris Saint-Germain as well as Barcelona.

Santos told Tuttomercatoweb, as per Football Italia: “Playing in Serie A is a dream for him and his heart remains here.

“As things stand today, he could play for four or five clubs: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”

Look, if Jorginho does leave, then Chelsea will be hoping that there are funds for an immediate replacement to come in and replace him

He is a big part of the way the club like to play, but considering he is linked with a move pretty much every transfer window, we would not be shocked to see that this could be his last season at the Bridge

PSG will sell Man United

It has again been revealed that PSG will listen to offers from the likes of Chelsea and Man United for the services of Brazilian superstar Neymar.

The transfer window is just a few weeks – and already we have seen the biggest clubs start making moves to get players signed up to new deals – and new stars signed.

PSG have already done the biggest deal of the transfer window by offering Kylian Mbappe a staggering £1 million-a-week contract and a £100 million signing on fee to keep him at the club.

And that deal means that the French giants may need to make a bit of money on order to stick to the financial fair play rules – and one of the clubs biggest stars will now be on the market

GOAL have claimed that PSG will be open to offers that match their valuation of Neymar when the transfer market reopens – believed to be around the £100M mark

There are individuals within the club that feel the 30-year-old has been in gradual decline ever since his initial arrival in Paris and, as well as his consistent struggles with injury, his attitude has also been questioned.

That has led to suggestions that both Chelsea and Man United are ready to swoop in and offer him a move to the Premier League – as they both seek to make that massive statement signing

Is Neymar a goal-machine? Yes he is.. he is one of the best players in the world? Yes he is – can he use his tricks and skills to get past players? Yes he can

However, PSG are obviously selling him for a reason and if the offer does come in – Chelsea and Man United could snap him up

Can we see him coming to the Premier League and being a success?? No we cannot as he is at the stage of his career that he does no longer care about being the best player in the world

But it will be interesting to see where he ends up

Caglar Soyuncu

Chelsea to offer Soyuncu £19M move to Stamford Bridge?

Published

There has been some fresh reports in the media which has suggested that Chelsea will put an offer in to sign Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu

With the fact that both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger are leaving the club on a free deal in the next couple of weeks – Thomas Tuchel knows he needs to add defenders to the squad.

Tuchel knows he needs to move quickly to try to stem the tide of outgoings, as the duo – Alongside Thiago Silva, they have been the men to give the Chelsea defence some of its bite and improvement this season.

That has led to many reports suggesting that a new defender is now high up on the shopping list of Tuchel and they have been linked with a whole host of players from La Liga – Ligue 1 and Seria A

But Leicester centre-back Caglar Soyuncu has been linked as a potential replacement for those departing – despite the fact he was once behind Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans in the King Power pecking order.

But his performances meant that he has been voted into the PFA team of the season and according to AS, for £19million the 26-year-old Turkey international is seen as a reasonable fit for Chelsea.

But With just one year to run on his contract, there is plenty of interest with Real Madrid and Manchester City cited as possible rivals.

Soyuncu may not have the pace to cope with the most speedy players in the Premier League – but there is not doubt that he has the leadership and physical presence to be a real asset to this Chelsea side

Add that to the fact he is Premier League proven – means he could walk straight into that team and slot in nicely alongside Thiago Silva

There will be a few signings made by Cheslea this summer – but Soyuncu could be a very nice addition.

Can Chelsea overcome their squad and selection challenges to compete with Liverpool and City next season? – Talk Chelsea

Published

By

Chelsea’s season is over, so there’s only one thing to do now – look ahead to next season. That’s the cycle of football for you – one season ends, the transfer window opens and you’re already thinking about the next campaign.

If you’re looking to bet some money somewhere like the Casumo Casino, you’ll see that Man City are heavy favourites to continue their sterile domination of the division with what would be a 5th title in 6 year.

They’re astonishingly short 4/6 favourites, with even Jurgen Klopp’s impressive Liverpool trailing them at 7/4.

The phenomenal distance between those two and Chelsea is pointed out by the gap that follows. Thomas Tuchel’s team are third favourites, but so far back that they’re given 20/1 odds.

Given we were looking like the best team in Europe for a while earlier this season, that seems harsh, but on the other hand we did fall away horribly in the second part of the season, and we still have a lot of unanswered questions in the team, while City look set to go to another level once again with the addition of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

Their forward planning is really paying off, while Chelsea seem to flounder from season to season, lurching from one manager to another, signing expensive players for each of them and then discarding the previous manager’s choices.

Even so, 20/1 seems very pessimistic given the evidence we’ve already seen that Thomas Tuchel is a top coach. That number really puts a lot of weight on what happened in the last couple of months of the season as our results collapsed, but we think that will quickly prove to be a slightly fugazi run of results.

Not only was there serious behind the scenes disruption with the ongoing spectre of the takeover, there were plenty of mitigating factors on the pitch too.

The team had little to play for in the league once they had fallen off the relentless pace of the leaders, and the defeats in the FA Cup and EFL Cup finals, as well as the manner of elimination from the Champions League, combined to form a really nasty cocktail of apathy and disappointment in the final stages.

After a summer off, refreshed with new signings, we think this team will come back and make that 20/1 look very harsh indeed. We might not catch the breakaway pair at the top next season, but we will run them a lot closer.
