Blues join race to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Published

on

Chelsea news: Dusan Vlahovic has been a revelation for Fiorentina since the start of last season. The Serbia international was awarded the Serie A Young Player of the Season during the 2020-21 season following his 21 goals in 37 games.

Vlahovic has been in scintillating form this season as well and is currently the leading goal scorer in Serie A. The 21-year-old striker registered 16 goals in 19 games in the Italian top division so far. His performances for the Florence-based club caught the attention of all the big clubs across Europe, who regularly sent scouts to analyze him over the past few months.

Chelsea news: Blues favourites to sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic

The Blues have joined the race to sign Fiorentina attacker Dusan Vlahovic. The Londoners are believed to be exploring the possibility of signing another striker amid uncertainty over the future of Romelu Lukaku.

According to reports, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona are the favourites to sign the Serbia international. That has left Arsenal and Tottenham out of the race, two clubs that have registered a major interest in signing Vlahovic recently. Vlahovic’s representatives are reportedly not picking up calls from the Arsenal board, who are eager to discuss a transfer for the starlet.

Chelsea news: Blues join race to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Vlahovic is currently in the final 18 months of his contract at Fiorentina. The Florence-based club are open to selling Vlahovic this month as his stock is sky high at the moment.

They are reportedly demanding a transfer fee in the region of £65 million for letting go of their star attacker. However, no club is willing to pay that fee presently.

What will Dusan Vlahovic bring to Chelsea?

Despite being 6’3″, Vlahovic is quick and loves to run behind the defenders. The Serbian also uses his huge structure brilliantly to hold up the ball, bringing his teammates into the game. The 21-year-old averaged 3.6 shots, 1 key pass and 1 dribble per game in the Italian top-division this season.

His arrival could also help the Blues get the best out of Romelu Lukaku, who prefers playing in a two-striker system. The 28-year-old excelled while playing alongside Lautaro Martinez at Inter Milan.

Chelsea news: The 12th man take

The Blues spent a massive transfer fee of £97.5 million to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan last summer. Despite his recent controversy, Chelsea are likely to hand the Belgium international another opportunity to prove his worth at the club.

It is very unlikely to see them splash out a massive transfer sum to sign another attacker.

What’s next?

After starting the season strongly, Chelsea struggled during their last few games. They have managed just one of their last five Premier League fixtures. The Blues are currently second in the EPL table, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City.

They will face rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals on Thursday.

Chelsea have opened talks to sign PSG star Kurzawa

Published

Chelsea have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Layvin Kurzawa to Stamford Bridge on loan for the rest of the season

Now it is no secret in the media that Thomas Tuchel has had a number of issues with injuries to some key players, meaning that he has to delve into this transfer kitty and sign a new defender or two

And Tuchel wants another option at left-back to compete with Marcos Alonso and it looks like Kurzawa is likely to be it, with the Frenchman out of contention at PSG.

The 29-year-old has played 153 games for PSG since joining from Monaco in 2015 but has fallen down the pecking order and has not made a single Ligue 1 appearances this season under Mauricio Pochettino.

Now reports on the RMC Sport report that talks have begun over a loan switch, with PSG happy to let him leave and the short-term deal curing a headache for Tuchel at left-back.

IcFootballnews View…

Look, Chelsea do not need to spend alot of money and bring in some world class player, they already have Ben Chilwell, so when he comes back, they will be ok in that position

If the reports are true and Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Kurzawa until the end of the season, then it will be a very good bit of business as he will help them finish off the season.

The Blues are well behind in that title race and if they get anymore injuries, they may have trouble getting into the top four, all the clubs below them are coming fast.

So fans will be hoping that Kurzawa is not the only player that arrives at Chelsea in the coming weeks.

Chelsea to make Salah offer, Rudiger makes decision on future and Haaland amids Pressure in Chelsea rounsup…

Chelsea are ready to offer Mohamed Salah that £400,000-a-week contract that he wants from Liverpool, IcFootballnews has learned

Egypt international Salah, whose current deal at Liverpool runs until the summer of 2023, has consistently expressed his desire to remain at Anfield amid ongoing talks over a new contract.

He has become one of the best players in world football during his stay at Anfield and has also become one of the clubs most iconic players in just a a few years, helping the club to Champions League and Premier League titles

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Salah claimed he was “not asking for crazy stuff” during negotiations with Liverpool which Reds boss Jurgen Klopp insists are “in a good place”.

But he has not yet signed a new deal with the Reds and all the big clubs, including the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, have been keeping a close eye on things at Anfield.

But now IcFootballnews have learned that Chelsea are eyeing up a possible move for Salah

The Blues have been keen on the Egyptian star ever since he came back to the Premier League a few years ago, but have known they have never had the opportunity to prise him away from Liverpool as he had a massive contract with the Reds.

But now his deal is coming down at Liverpool, and the fact he wants £400,000-a-week, is delaying the contract signing, meaning that Chelsea can swoop in and give him the contract he wants

The Blues are still seeking to add that superstar player to the squad that will help them win back that Premier League title, and right now, there arent too many better players in world football than Salah

Antonio Rudiger will not sign a new deal at Chelsea – no matter how much the club offer him, talkSPORT understands.

Rudiger has been a standout performer for Chelsea this season and one of the clubs most important players, but he could leave the club at the end of the season as his contract expires.

It is no secret that his preference would be to stay, but there has been a number of top clubs show an interest in getting a possible deal done at the end of the season, which has left many Chelsea fans shocked at the fact he could leave

Now talkSPORT transfer inside Alex Crook has now provided an update which doesn’t make great reading for Blues fans. Asked if he could stay, Crook responded: “I don’t think so, Jim.

“We know his advisors have been in talks with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.

“I was told several weeks ago that it didn’t matter how much money Chelsea threw at him, his heart was set on a move to Real Madrid.

“We’ve seen numerous high profile examples – maybe Cristiano Ronaldo the highest of them all – of when a big club like Real Madrid come in for you it’s very difficult to keep them out of their clutches.”

Rudiger is one of the very best defenders in the game and Chelsea would be massive fools to let him leave, we have said that before and will again. So Fans will be hoping that the board manage to get a contract deal done sooner rather than later as there are a number of top clubs eyeing up a potential deal.

As we said, he is one of the best defenders in the game and Chelsea would be fools to let him leave, especially on a free deal.

Chelsea have again been left on alert after target Erling Haaland has admitted that Borussia Dortmund are putting pressure on him to make a decision on his future

Haaland has a contract with Dortmund until 2024 but is understood to have a release clause that can be activated in the summer that would allow him to leave the club for around £65 million, far below his current market value.

That has led to many reports in the media that all the biggest clubs in the game are eager to make a move at the end of the season and offer him a £500,000-a-week contract to leave the Bundesliga side.

It is no secret that Chelsea are long time admirers of the star and are looking at the possibility to adding a new forward to the attack in the summer, especially as Romelu Lukaku hits the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Now, amid all the speculation, Haaland says pressure from Borussia Dortmund to make a decision about his future is proving to be a distraction.: “The last six months, I have chosen not to say anything out of respect for Dortmund,” Haaland told Viaplay.

“But now the club has started to pressure me into making a decision, but all I want to do is to play football.

“But they press me to make a decision now about my future. So that means I have to make a decision soon.

“I have said from the beginning that I want to focus on football, because that is when I am at my best, not when other things come into my mind.

“Now they have put pressure for a while. So it is time to get things started. All I want to do is to play football, but I can’t do that now.”
