Wenger to be back. Is the return temporary?

Arsenal News: Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, will be back in the dugout after four years. The French manager has agreed to manage Monaco ruler Prince Albert’s side on Monday for a prestigious charity match. The game will involve several footballing greats. Prince Albert’s side will face Princess Stephanie XI who will have Italian keeper Walter Zenga as their manager.
The match will take place on Monday night. Current French boss Didier Deschamps will be back in action with the likes of Yori Djorkaeff, David Trezeguet, and Fernando Morientes. Liverpool legend Ian Rush was also supposed to take part in this match but he picked up a knee injury.
Ian Rush will be in the Stade Louis II stadium with his business partner Amar Chopra. They have donated £130,000 to the Fight Aids charity. Rush was also supposed to take part in the match before picking up a knee injury.
Rush, who is a Liverpool legend, believes that Wenger’s return to touchline should not be temporary. As per Mikel Arteta’s views, there is some unfinished business at the Emirates for their legendary boss. Rush believes that Arsenal should follow up Arteta’s views.
Arsenal News: Wenger, the most successful manager for the Gunners
Arsene Wenger was one of the most successful managers and was part of the Arsenal dugout for 22 years. In his reign, Arsenal won the English Premier League on three occasions. The Gunners won the League in 1997-98, 2001-02, and 2003-04.
The Gunners also won 7 FA Cups during Wenger’s regime. He led Arsenal to 7 FA Community Shield glories too, making him the most successful manager for Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger won the BBC Sport Personality of the Year Coach Award in 2002 and 2004. He also won the World Manager of the year award in 1998. Wenger was the Onze d’or coach of the year four times. He also won the IFFHS World coach of the decade:2001-2010.

Arsenal’s need for someone like Wenger
Arsenal’s current situation suggests that they miss the services of their former boss. Wenger has told many times that he is ready to manage the Gunners again, but only if he is asked to do so.
Wenger announced his resignation at the end of the 2017-18 season. His last home game was a great 5-0 win against Burnley. After the match, he received a standing ovation from the crowd. He, later on,n revealed that he wanted to stay with Arsenal until his contract expiration, but the club thought that it was better that he leave.
Even the current Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, says that he would love to see Wenger back in the Arsenal dugout. In Wenger’s autobiography, he has mentioned how Arsenal was his life. He was one of the most dedicated managers in footballing history.
Wenger’s return to the touchline is a great event in footballing history and if he makes it permanent, then we can see the reign of one of the most successful managers in the history of football.

Arsenal confirms Elneny has agreed new deal

Mohamed Elneny has announced his pure delight that he has agreed a new contract with Arsenal
The Egyptian star has found game time hard to come by this season and has had to watch the games from the bench, but he has played a key role in the run in of the Premier League season
The injury to Thomas Partey has offered Elneny the chance to shine, and with reports suggesting that Mikel Arteta will not want to lose many more players in the transfer window, Elneny was ready to sign a new deal with the Gunners
And soon after the season has finished – Arsenal have come out and announced that Elneny has agreed a new contract at the Emirates – although they have not divulged the duration of the contract signed.
“Midfielder Mohamed [Elneny] is extending his stay with us,” Arsenal revealed on their official website. “Elneny has been a key member of the squad since joining us from Basel in 2016. He’s made 147 appearances, scoring five goals and contributing 10 assists.”
Here is what Elneny said:
“I feel like when you play in one of the biggest teams in the world and you have an amazing family and the fans are really amazing as well – they make me feel special,” Elneny told the same portal.
“You feel like you are special for this club and this club is special for you. Of course, I want to stay here until I finish my career actually.”
“I needed to hear what he’s thinking about me and I always say to him, ‘Mikel, I really appreciate what you’ve done for me.’
“Because with Mikel I play more than I was before. I said to him, ‘Mikel, if you say to me that you want me to stay or you want me to leave, I’m going to do whatever you want.’
“Then the way he spoke about me is something that really makes me emotional.
“It was really good for me to hear it from Mikel, about the way I play and the way I’m happy with him and being positive. It’s incredible for me to feel this way from Mikel, from the club, and from Edu. I’m really happy.”

Elneny may not be the most glamourous of players – but fans will surely be hoping that this does not mean no new midfielders will be signed
Elneny is good – but there are better out there

Barca will let Arsenal sign Depay for just £17M

It has been claimed that Barcelona will allow Memphis Depay to join a club like Arsenal for just £17M this summer
Barcelona were in shambles after Lionel Messi left the club, as they were depended heavily on him for goals and as soon as the player left the club, there was a void and a lack of goals.
Dutchman Memphis Depay was brought in to fill in the space left behind by the Argentine but he was not consistent enough in front of the goal and injuries have also messed up his time with the club.
That has led to speculation in the media that Barcelona boss Xavi is now open to the idea of letting the attacker leave in the transfer window, and the Premier League is a place that he could come back too.
Arsenal are looking to strengthen in attack after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are likely to leave as free agents. and they have been linked with a shock transfer move
Now – Spanish publication Sport have claimed that Barcelona will allow him to leave and join a club like Arsenal – should the Gunners board pay just £17 million for the Dutchman
The reports claims that Barcelona are looking to balance their books and will look to get a number of fringe players out the club
IcFootballnews view…
Depay was signed by the Spanish giants who believed that he had the ability to score goals on a regular basis for the club – they were wrong. Man United signed in in belief that he would score goals for the club – they were wrong
So if Arsenal believe that the possible signing of Depay will help them score more goals and close the gap on both Liverpool and Man City – they are wrong
Depay is a player that does well in the French League or the Dutch League but when he makes that step up to the Premier League or Spanish League – he cannot cope
The Gunners will need to add strikers to the attack in the summer, Depay is not the man for that

Edu hold talks with Osimhen about Arsenal move

Arsenal have begun talks to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to the latest reports in the media today
It is no secret that despite all the attacking quality that Mikel Arteta currently has in his squad, Arsenal are lacking a proven striker that will bang in the goals on a regular basis
Alexandre Lacazette has been putting in the impressive performances, that is true, but the Frenchman will never be, and never has been, a striker that is capable of netting 30-goals a season.
That means that Mikel Arteta will need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a striker to the squad, which has led to reports in the media which have claimed that Osimhen is a player that the club are very much interested in signing.
Recent reports in the media have claimed that the Napoli forward wants a move to the Emirates this summer, as it is his dream to play for the Arsenal – but a move wont come cheap for the club
It has been claimed that Napoli will demand a fee over £69 million for the striker – but that is not stopping Arsenal and GOAL have claimed that the Gunners have already started making their moves for the player
They claim Arsenal’s technical director Edu has held talks with the striker’s agent in London – but believe that the fee will be an issue as Napoli are notoriously difficult to agree terms with
Napoli signed Osimhen from Lille in a €81.3 million (£69.5m) deal in 2020 and it’s understood that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis would want a significantly higher fee.

There has been so many players linked with a move to the Emirates, and there have been some top strikers linked with a move to the club
But why not make a move for a player that is already proven in the Premier League rather than sign a striker that would need time to adapt to the pace – quality and toughness of the English game?
He surely isnt worth more than what Napoli paid for him right?
