Watkins Balogun and Bissouma feature in Arsenal roundup 13th January

Arsenal get Balogun deal done, Arsenal in talks to sign Watkins and Bissouma message sent in Arsenal roundup…

Darren Bent has urged Arsenal to go out and sign Yves Bissouma this January transfer window

Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he wants to strengthen his midfield options before the end of the January transfer window in order to keep the good start to the new season going.

The Gunners were not tipped to get back into that top four this season, but a good start to the year has meant that they will be one of the favourites to get Champions League football next season, if they add a few more players this month

Arsenal’s lack of options in midfield have been exposed in recent weeks with Granit Xhaka and summer signing Albert Sambi Lokonga currently Mikel Arteta’s only senior options, as Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny after both at the African Cup of Nations, along with Bissouma

But once the competition finishes, Bent would relish the chance to see the Brighton man head to north London where he believes he can form a fearsome partnership with Partey: ‘I would like to see Arsenal go and get Yves Bissouma from Brighton,” he said on talkSPORT.

‘I really like him, I think he’s a top, top player. I think he’s gettable as well.

‘Him and Partey in the middle of the park, that is what you call protection in front of the back four by the way.

‘You let the likes of [Emile] Smith Rowe, [Martin] Odegaard bomb forward.

‘If you can Yves Bissouma, I think he can turn into a top player in this league, I really do. I really like him.

‘He’s one of those players that can be box-to-box but if you ask him to sit there, he’s comfortable in possession. Yeah he’s a top player.’

This potential deal is all about money, so if Arsenal are ready to pay £50 million to secure a transfer deal for Bissouma, yes he would be a brilliant signing for the club

Middlesborough coach Chris Wilder has admitted his delight that Florian Balogun has agreed a move from Arsenal

The 20-year-old striker has not featured in the Premier League since August but remains a part of Arsenal’s long-term plans and signed a new contract in April which ties him to the club until 2025.

Balogun was also the subject of interest from Europe, with French Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne among the clubs who were monitoring his situation.

But in the end, it was Boro who managed to complete a January deal for the talented young man and Wilder, who previously tried to sign him for his former club Sheffield United, was pleased that the Arsenal man has signed for his current club.

“We’re delighted to get Flo in. He’s a player I’ve known about for a long time, and we identified him as someone who could come in and improve us in the second half of the season.

He continued, “He has great movement, good pace, and he’s a natural finisher. We’re looking forward to working with him.”

Balogun underwent a medical on Tuesday ahead of finalsing his move to the Championship side, who will pay a portion of his wages.

Wilder will now hope that his new recruit pushes them into the play-off positions of the Championship. And the Gunners will be hoping that Balogun gets the game time he needs to help with his development.

Reports have claimed that Arsenal are now in talks to bring Ollie Watkins to the Emirates this transfer window.

Centre-forwards Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are into the final six months of their contracts at the Emirates Stadium whilst fellow-frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future at the club remains in doubt.

That has led to many reports in the media that Arsenal will be in need of adding a striker to the squad over the next few weeks in order to bolster their chances of getting back inside that top four spot.

And According to ESPN, head coach Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Watkins, with the Spaniard reportedly impressed by the Villa star’s versatility to play across the frontline

The report said: “Arteta and Arsenal’s recruitment team are planning for life without Aubameyang and have a range of options that they are considering.

“Among them is Watkins, who joined Villa for £27.7m from Brentford last summer and has scored 18 league goals in 51 appearances for the club. Sources said Arteta is a fan of Watkins’ playing style and his ability to play in a number of different roles in attack.

“There has been no direct contact between Arsenal and Aston Villa over Watkins, and sources said a switch in January would be highly unlikely, but the 25-year-old will be monitored ahead of a summer move.”

IcFootballnews View…

If the reports are true and Arsenal have started to make their move to try and get a transfer deal done for Watkins, it would be a very smart move to make from the Gunners.

However, there has been no indication that Watkins wants to leave Villa, especially as they are looking like a club that are showing alot of ambition.

He would be a great signing for Arsenal, but we cant see this one happening.

Alvaro Morata

Morata offered to the Gunners as Juventus look to offload the striker

Arsenal Transfer News: Juventus have beaten Arsenal to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic. Owing to this, the Italian giants are willing to release Alvaro Morata and he has also been offered to the Gunners.

Technical director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta had been scouting Dusan Vlahovic for a long time and were very impressed. Hence, they felt that signing the striker would help them cement a top-four spot in the Premier League.

But the Serbian and his representatives were not too keen on a move to North London. Instead, Dusan Vlahovic had reportedly set his heart on a move to Juventus.

After having talks with the striker’s representatives, the Serie A giants placed an official bid of €75m for the striker. This bid was accepted by Fiorentina, following which the striker officially signed for the Old Lady yesterday.

Arsenal Transfer News: Club offered Alvaro Morata

Arsenal News: Alvaro Morata has been offered to the Gunners as Juventus look to offload the striker

As per HITC, Juventus want to end the loan of Alvaro Morata. Hence Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign the Spaniard on loan until the end of the season.

Apart from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have also been offered the striker as per reports. Including the mentioned clubs, Barcelona have also been interested in signing the Juventus striker in January.

Alvaro Morata has not had the best of seasons at Juventus this term. The Spaniard has played in 22 Serie A games. But he has managed to score only 5 goals and provide 3 assists in these games.

Morata has experience playing in the Premier League with Chelsea. The Juventus striker has played 72 games for the Blues, in this, he has managed to score an unimpressive 24 goals before being shipped to Atletico Madrid.

Even Though Morata was not in the best of form for Chelsea, manager Antonio Conte had kind words for the striker. The former Blues boss described Alvaro Morata as a “fantastic striker” given his work ethic.

With the situation of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still unclear, Arsenal could make a loan swap for the players in January. This would be favourable for both the clubs since Juventus have themselves been interested in Aubameyang.

Should the Gunners sign Morata?

With just 3-days remaining in the January transfer window, signing Alvaro Morata would look logical for Arsenal. But it would be better if the Gunners would rather straighten things out with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in our opinion.

Alvaro Morata has not been in the best of form for Juventus. To add to this, his Premier League form with Chelsea was not impressive as well. Aubameyang, on the other hand, has proven his worth for Arsenal. Hence, the striker deserves to be given a chance until the end of the season.

Juventus and Barcelona approach Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Published

Arsenal Transfer News: The Gunners have been looking to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window. And it seems that Barcelona and Juventus might be eager to help them out.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy and was banished from the first team in December. Mikel Arteta reportedly did this as the striker had committed a disciplinary breach.

The Gabonese striker returned without playing in the Africa Cup of Nations after suffering heart lesions after a positive Covid test. But further tests soon concluded that Aubameyang would thankfully be fit to play.

The Arsenal management though does not want him at the club anymore. The striker has not been allowed to even train with the first team since December. Hence, it is looking increasingly likely that Aubameyang would leave in the next few days.

Arsenal Transfer News: Barcelona and Juventus enquire about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal News: Juventus and Barcelona approach Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

As per Sky Sports, Barcelona and Juventus are interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal. But a deal has not been made with either club yet.

FC Barcelona are fresh from signing Adama Traore on a loan in the winter transfer window. The Blaugrana have also signed Ferran Torres but are still looking to sign a striker in January. Hence, they are reportedly monitoring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign on a loan move.

Following the retirement of Sergio Aguero, Luuk de Jong and Memphis Depay have taken over the number 9 role. But both the players have been inconsistent in front of the goal which has directly been seen in Barcelona’s form.

Juventus are also on a high following the signing of Dusan Vlahovic. The Old Lady beat the Gunners themselves to secure the signing of the Serbian striker. Owing to this, they are now looking to offload Alvaro Morata.

The Atletico Madrid striker is on loan at Juventus until the end of the season. But he has not found form in front of goal, hence the Old Lady are wanting to end the loan move. Hence, they are willing to onboard Aubameyang to increase the depth of their squad.

Though there is interest, it is unlikely that any club will be willing to pay the salary of the striker. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang currently earns a whopping £350,000 at Arsenal. Hence, it has to be seen if any other European club would be interested in paying the astronomical amount.

Are any other clubs interested in signing the Arsenal star?

Apart from Barcelona and Juventus, other European clubs are also monitoring the Gabonese striker. As per reports, Marseille, Sevilla, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan have all expressed an interest in the striker.

Saudi Arabian clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, had also approached Arsenal earlier in the month. But Aubameyang has declined a move to Saudi Arabia.

Chambers delighted with transfer move, Arsenal to sign Turner claims manager and Gunners told £40 million for Neves in Arsenal roundup…

Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the head of Arsenal linked Ruben Neves

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta NEEDS to strengthen his Arsenal squad over the course of the transfer window as a number of injuries and Covid-19 outbreaks have devastated his Gunners squad.

That has led to many reports that he will look to improve the squad and add another defender, midfielder and striker to the attack in order to keep in that chase to get back inside the top sour spots

The Gunners were reportedly in talks with Arthur Melo’s agent and were keen to sign the 25-year-old on loan before the January transfer window closes, but he has performed a u-turn and will now not leave Juventus this month

That led to reports in the media that Arsenal have contacted Wolves about a possible transfer deal for Neves, and have even opened talks about a possible January transfer deal.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has attracted a lot of interest since he helped his side gain promotion to the Premier League, and it was thought that he would not be sold at any price.

Now, according to Sun Sport, Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the 24-year-old, a fee that Arsenal are more than prepared to pay

IcFootballnews View…

Guys if the reports are true and Arsenal are in talks to sign one of the most gifted players in the Premier League, them he would be a quality signing for the club

Neves is far too good to be playing for Wolves and a move to a club like Arsenal may mean that he develops into an even better player, much like Diogo Jota has done at Liverpool

Arsenal need to make sure that they get this transfer deal done

USA manager Gregg Berhalter has all but confirmed that MLS goalkeeper of the year Matt Turner will be heading to Arsenal.

Bernd Leno is understandably keen on playing more football after being usurped as Arsenal’s No 1 by Aaron Ramsdale, and that has led to many reports in the media which have suggested that he could leave the club this transfer window

And if the German was to leave, Turner appears to be their top target to replace him, with reports suggesting that the Gunners board have already made an offer to bring him to the Premier League

The American was once an undrafted college footballer, but the USA no.1 has reportedly agreed terms over a summer move to Arsenal, signalling the end for Bernd Leno.

Berhalter said after the USA beat El Salvador 1-0 in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday: “[Turner] Went to Fairfield University, was undrafted out of college, now he’s playing with the national team and he’s headed to Arsenal.

“It’s just an amazing story and it’s all down to him, his work ethic, his belief in himself and his never give up attitude.

“It’s a great story and Matt is a great guy, a great teammate and we’re lucky to have him.

“Tonight was an example of where he did everything that he had to do. He was calm in all situations. Wasn’t tested much but was there when we needed him and he looked like a player that’s going to Arsenal, for sure.”

IcFootballnews View…

Ramsdale is a brilliant stopper that is easily the number one at the Emirates, so the Gunners do not need to splash alot of cash and bring in somebody that could upset the dynamics at the Emirates

Turner will have alot to prove at the club, but he has been impressing and the Gunners clearly see something in him which will make them believe he is the ideal man to replace Leno if he leaves the club

This will be a massive step up though, and surely a dream move for the man

Callum Chambers has admitted his delight at signing for Aston Villa after deciding to leave Arsenal

Since the arrival of Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa have been showing some real ambition in the transfer window and have done a number of deals that have impressed many pundits

Philippe Coutinho, Lucas Digne and Robin Olsen have all been players that Gerrard has managed to bring to the club and now, he has managed to convince Chambers to make the move to the Villians

Chambers told Aston Villa’s club website: “It’s a massive club and they’re in a great moment at this moment in time.

“It’s a very exciting place to be and everyone can see that from the outside. Things are happening here and it’s definitely moving in the right direction.

“For me, it was a no-brainer to join a great club. It was the right thing for me to do. It’s a great club, it’s a massive club. I’ve played at Villa Park a few times and it’s great stadium with a great set of fans.

“The manager did very well at Rangers. He’s a young, exciting manager and I can’t wait to work with him.

“It’s a great stage to be joining the club at. The club’s building momentum and it’s an exciting time to be here. You can really feel that being in and around the building. You can feel the energy around the place.

“I feel like I’ve joined at a great time and I can’t wait to get started and give it my all.”

IcFootballnews View…

Chambers has never really been able to prove himself at the Emirates so now is the right time to leave the club as it will give him the chance to reignite his career, this is a great move for the man
