Premier League: Liverpool and Manchester United clashed at Anfield on Tuesday in what was dubbed a must-win game for both teams. But rather the game turned out to be one-way traffic in favour of the hosts.

Liverpool dominated Manchester United from start to finish as the Reds won the game 4-0. In this article, we will look at four major talking points from the Premier League game!

The Reds have had the deadliest attack in the Premier League this season. Jurgen Klopp’s side came into the game with 79 goals scored. In comparison, United have just scored 52 goals in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool broke the shackles in the 5th minute as Mohamed Salah set up Luis Diaz to make it 1-0. Salah would himself break his goal drought next after a perfect team goal was set up by a superb Sadio Mane assist in the 22nd minute.

Mane was next to get on the scoresheet as the winger found the back of the net in the 68th minute. Salah eventually ended any hopes of a Manchester United comeback as he made it 4-0 in the 85th minute as Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table.

Premier League: We have nothing to say about Manchester United!

Yes, Manchester United did absolutely nothing to talk about in the Premier League game. The Red Devils were clearly miles behind Liverpool and this was shown in the match statistics

Ralf Rangnick’s side just had two shots in the whole game, of which only one was on target. United finished the game with just 28 percent possession. To make things worse, Manchester United just had 82 passes in the opposition’s half in the whole game!

Premier League: Liverpool win 9-0 on aggregate!

Liverpool 4-0 Manchester United: Four Major Talking Points from the Premier League game!

The Reds had beaten United 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Hence the 4-0 win at Anfield means that Liverpool finish with a 9-0 aggregate in the 2021/22 Premier League season.

It is clear that Manchester United have hardly had any improvement under Ralf Rangnick. The “9-0” scoreline clearly shows the difference between the level of both the clubs at the moment.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool have now completed the “double” over United in the Premier League  Hence, Manchester United have to improve a lot before they catch up to their rivals once again.

Great gesture by the fans towards Cristiano Ronaldo!

The rivalry between the two clubs is intense. But both sets of fans came together for Cristiano Ronaldo in a heartwarming gesture in the 7th minute.

Ronaldo was unavailable for the game as his newborn son had passed away a day earlier. As a tribute to the United number seven, both sets of fans clapped around the stadium in the 7th minute. Chants of “Viva Ronaldo” and “You’ll Never Walk” alone were also sung to provide support to the grieving family.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Betting Tips: Premier League Predictions and Odds

Manchester United fans across the globe will be letting out a collective sigh of relief after the full-time whistle at Selhurst Park on Sunday to mark the end of a disappointing and underachieving season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Betting Tips

At 37-years-old and in his second Premier League stint, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show no signs of slowing down with 18 goals in the league so far this season – the third highest, behind only Mohamed Salah and Heung-Min Son.

Despite being painted as a scapegoat for United’s struggles by fans throughout the year, Ronaldo has came up clutch time and time again when his team needed it.

Two hat-tricks in just over the last two months have taken Ronaldo’s goal tally to 24 goals and three assists in 39 appearances across all competitions this season, not bad for a player who is supposedly ‘finished’.

We’re tipping Ronaldo to end his season on a high note and break the seal at Selhurst Park on Sunday, in what could be a huge victory for United’s hopes of playing Europa League football next season.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Predictions

To avoid falling into seventh and right into the Europa Conference League competition next season, Ralf Rangnick needs his final game in charge as interim manager to be a victory.

Despite Europa League football not being terribly ideal either, United would much prefer to play in the Europa on Thursday nights with less travelling required than what is normal in the Conference.

Looking at how the visitors stack up against Palace on paper, it really isn’t a debate – the Reds should be hitting their opponents for at least three or four, but nothing has exactly gone to plan for United this season.

However, Manchester United have a flawless record at Selhurst Park and have not lost there since the formation of the Premier League in 1992 – seven wins and four draws in eleven games.

Under the management of Louis Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United have won four of their last five away at Palace scoring a combined ten goals and conceding just four in that period.

We’re tipping United to continue their brilliant record in South London and secure a spot in next season’s Europa League competition and send West Ham to the Conference League.

[WATCH] The Day Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Got His Revenge Against Lionel Messi and Barcelona

Published

The rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is one for the history books. One can say that it is the biggest rivalry in sports history. Another rivalry for the record books is that of Barcelona and Real Madrid. The match between the Spanish arch rivals, the El Clasico, is the most watched game in the world.

No matter how the season is going for either Real Madrid or Barcelona, the players put everything in this game in order to get the edge over their rivals. It has always been an interesting match in between Real Madrid and Barcelona, as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo also get to have a go against each other.

Just months after Lionel Messi scored the winner against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu during the final minute, Cristiano Ronaldo had a chance to take his revenge. After being mocked heavily after that game, Ronaldo was fueled up for the the Spanish Super Cup first leg.tie against Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored and was then sent off as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup first leg. Gerard Pique slid Marcelo’s cross into his own net before Lionel Messi leveled the equation with a penalty.

Ronaldo, who was a substitute, restored Real Madrid’s lead when he ran from halfway before smashing an effort home. He was booked for taking off his shirt to celebrate and shown a second yellow shortly after for a dive – before Marco Asensio scored Real’s excellent third.

The Day Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Got His Revenge Against Lionel Messi and Barcelona

Ronaldo was outraged at the referee, thinking he did not dive. He felt he should have had a penalty when he went down under pressure from Samuel Umtiti, and appeared to shove the referee in the back after he was shown the red card.

Rio Ferdinand mocks the decision to put Saka ahead of Ronaldo in the Player of the Year awards

Published

Football News: Bukayo Saka’s nomination for the Premier League Player of the Season award ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo has been described as “laughable” by Rio Ferdinand.

Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrod Bowen, Joao Cancelo, Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min, and James Ward-Prowse are among the players nominated for the prize, according to the Premier League.

Despite scoring 18 goals and giving three assists in the league this season, Ronaldo was not included in the shortlist. In the same competition, Saka has 11 goals and six assists.

Arsenal will finish ahead of Manchester United in the table, despite Ronaldo’s involvement in more goals than his 20-year-old rival.

Since his return to English football, Ronaldo has won the Player of the Month award twice, in September and April. Despite this, Ferdinand is dissatisfied with the decision of the regulatory body.

“Is Saka in the Player of the Year nominees?” asked the former defender on his YouTube show Vibe with Five, who spent six years playing alongside Ronaldo. “

Saka would not have been in there as well as he has. No way would I have picked him over Ronaldo this season. Three or four of those men in there should be ahead of Ronaldo. He’s unlikely to win, but the list of nominees is ridiculous.

“He’ll take it as a slight, but these are the things that motivate him; ‘How dare you?’ he’ll think. If it’s based on statistics, he’ll say things like, ‘I’ve scored more goals than the majority of the players on that list except for Salah, so what are you talking about?’”

What does the Premier League website say?

Saka “has shown amazing character to bounce back” after missing the deciding penalty in the Euro 2020 final, according to the Premier League’s website.

The nominations for Young Player of the Season were also revealed by the Premier League. Alexander-Arnold, Saka, Phil Foden, Conor Gallagher, Tyrick Mitchell, Mason Mount, Aaron Ramsdale, and Declan Rice have all been named finalists.

They’ve also unveiled their five Manager of the Season contenders. Newcastle’s Eddie Howe, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and Crystal Palace’s Patrick Vieira round up the shortlist, which includes Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool.
