The players are selected in the list based on their upcoming fixtures, their current form, and their value.

The players on the list can make a difference to your upcoming double game week and points tally.

FPL TIPS GW22: Midfielders-

Diogo Jota (£8.3m):

FPL TIPS GW22: Midfielders and Strikers to watch out for in Double GameWeek 22

The Portuguese remain a priority pick for the team in absence of Salah and Mane.  The injury to Son Heung-min (£10.7m) makes him a necessity in the midfield and even though Liverpool doesn’t have a double game week 22, he should not be excluded.

James Maddison (£6.9m):

James Maddison is showing signs of life and contributing immensely to Leicester’s recent form. The Englishman will have a double game in week 22 but his opponents are tough.

Jarrod Bowen (£6.7m):

Jarrod Bowen can’t stop scoring. The West Ham United midfielder is the in-form player in the league. he scored a brace against Norwich last night and even though he won’t have a double game in week 22, he can be expected to give good returns.

Phil Foden (£8.0m):

Phil Foden hasn’t been a regular starter but with the fixture list favoring Manchester City, he can be a good asset to have in the team.

Lucas Moura (£6.5m):

Lucas Moura started well but has faded away since then. However, with Son out of the line-up, the Brazilian will have the chance to impress again. However, his inclusion won’t be long-term as Son is expected back in 2 weeks’ time.

FPL TIPS GW22: Strikers-

Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m) and Harry Kane (£12.2m):

These two are the premium options for the upcoming double game week 22. Ronaldo will be having easier fixtures to keep up with and should be the primary choice for the captaincy.

Emmanuel Dennis (£6.1m):

Emmanuel Dennis’s form throughout the season has been impressive and with a double game week looming, expect him to keep performing. Watford’s next three fixtures against fellow relegation battlers Newcastle, Burnley, and Norwich over the next two game weeks. Expect some good returns from the Nigerian who missed AFCON to play the Premier League.

Neal Maupay (£6.5m):

It’s a punt if you bring in Neil Maupay. Brighton doesn’t have an easy fixture in the double game week 22 and this is followed by no game in game week 25.

Ollie Watkins (£7.7m):

Ollie Watkins promises a lot but gives very few returns. The England international get bucket loads of chances but his conversion is poor. The striker enjoys a decent run of fixtures after game week 22, and that’s he’s worthy of consideration.

Guimaraes having medical ahead of Newcastle move

Bruno Guimaraes is reportedly having his medical ahead of his move to Newcastle.

There are only a few days left of the transfer window, and so far fans have only seen Kieran Trippier and Chris Woods arrive to help the club avoid relegation this season.

But there has still been alot of speculation about the players that will be arriving at the club over the next few days, with Diego Carlos and Duvan Zapata just two stars that are heavily linked with the club.

But now it seems that Newcastle have made a very late swoop and encouraged Lyon to let one of their star players leave this transfer window, as they have agreed a £30 million fee for Guimaraes

Arsenal were among a number of clubs interested in signing Guimaraes, who has also been watched closely by Manchester United and PSG, but Eddie Howe’s side look to be closing in on the 24-year-old’s signature.

Reports on the Sky Sports website has now revealed that the Brazilian will undergo his medical on Wednesday.

Guimaraes has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Lyon this season, registering six assists. He has three caps for the Brazil national team.

Look, there is a reason why all the big clubs have been keeping a close eye on Guimaraes, and that is because he is a quality player that will improve this Toon squad.

Fans will surely be getting excited about this signing as he is a player that, as we said, will have a huge impact on the squad.

But dont expect him to be the last signing as Howe wants a few more players over the next few days

Arteta Flies to the United States to Meet Club Owner Stan Kroenke Before the Transfer Window Closes

Arsenal News: Mikel Arteta has travelled to Denver, Colorado to meet the Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke. The Gunners manager was pictured along with Kroenke at a hockey game.

Mikel Arteta has been vocal about needing reinforcements in January. But as of now, there have only been departures from the club rather than arrivals.

With the transfer window entering the last few days, Mikel Arteta has travelled to the United States. Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker after the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Edward Nketiah, and Alexandre Lacazette are all up in the air.

Arsenal had been vying to sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic and had even made a bid of €60m. But the Serbian seems uninterested to move to North London as he prefers moving to Juventus and staying in the Serie A instead.

Arsenal News: Arteta Flies to the United States to Meet Club Owner Stan Kroenke Before the Transfer Window Closes

Mikel Arteta meets Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke

As stated earlier, Mikel Arteta has reportedly flown to Denver, Colorado, to meet Stan Kroenke. They were pictured watching the National Hockey League game between Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks.

The reason for Mikel Arteta’s visit has not been revealed. But there is speculation that the Spaniard has travelled to the United States to discuss the transfer window situation.

Arsenal had been linked with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimarães, Arthur Melo, and other players throughout January. But there is yet to be a single noteworthy signing as the window ends in just 6 days.

The Gunners are short in numbers in central midfield and the striking position. Mikel Arteta has himself been vocal of this in press conferences. Hence, it could be that he has visited Stan Kroenke for the same reason.

Has the Arsenal manager travelled to discuss a new contract?

Earlier in the week there were reports that the Arsenal management is very happy with Mikel Arteta’s commitment and work ethic. Owing to this, they were willing to offer the Spaniard a contract extension.

Another reason for an extension was Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s current deal with Arsenal expires in 2023. This incidentally coincides with Pep Guardiola’s deal with the Sky Blues.

Mikel Arteta is no stranger to Manchester City as he had worked as Pep Guardiola’s assistant before joining Arsenal in December 2019. Hence the Gunners management feel that City could come after Arteta if Pep Guardiola decides to leave.

Owing to this, the Gunners have reportedly decided to offer a new and improved contract extension to Mikel Arteta in the coming days. Hence, it could be that the Spaniard has travelled to discuss the details before he publicly extends his stay at the North London club.

Aaron Ramsdale

Legendary Goalkeeper Wants Ramsdale to Not Yell at Defenders Publicly After They Make Mistakes

Arsenal News: Legendary former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson recently spoke about being in awe with Aaron Ramsdale. But he is also not happy with one specific habit of the keeper.

Aaron Ramsdale has been Arsenal’s number 1 goalkeeper since he joined the club from Sheffield United in August last year. The keeper was allowed to leave as the Blades had slipped into the Championship after relegation last season.

The move to Arsenal has certainly helped Aaron Ramsdale as he has been solid in goal. The 23-year-old has made 18 Premier League appearances, in which he has kept 10 clean sheets in the 2021/22 season.

Ramsdale has made a lot of astonishing saves this season. The best of the lot was the flying effort against Leicester City, that has won the admiration of supporters, players, and pundits from around the world.

What did Bob Wilson say about Aaron Ramsdale?

Arsenal News: Legendary goalkeeper wants Aaron Ramsdale to not yell at defenders publicly after they make mistakes

Legendary Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson recently appeared in a podcast with another Arsenal legend, David Seaman. In the podcast, Wilson talked about Ramsdale and Arsenal in general.

Bob Wilson expressed his happiness for Aaron Ramsdale, seeing the form that the Englishman is in. To add to this, he added that he was a big admirer of the Arsenal #32. But Wilson did add that he did not like one characteristic of the goalkeeper.

Bob Wilson said on David Seaman’s podcast “You’re doing brilliantly Aaron. The save at Leicester was sensational, one of the greatest saves ever. But there is one thing you need to restrain from doing and that is yelling so publicly to those in front of you who make a mistake”.

David Seaman seemed to agree with the words of the Arsenal legend. Seeman added that he himself followed this point in his career. He would have a word with the defenders in the dressing room rather on the pitch.

Seeman then added that at the moment Aaron Ramsdale is in good form and is not making a mistake. But if he does, it would give the defenders incentive to shout back at him. Hence, this would not be good for the team morale overall.

Bob Wilson concluded by saying that Aaron Ramsdale’s ball distribution has also been excellent. He credited the goalkeeper’s efforts for Arsenal being near the top-4 and fighting for the Champions League spots at the moment.

Can the Arsenal #32 continue his superb form?

The 23-year-old made his Premier League debut for Arsenal against Norwich back in September 2021. At that time, the Gunners had suffered 3 continuous defeats and were placed at the bottom of the Premier League.

Since taking over, Aaron Ramsdale has been a much-needed upgrade over an error-prone Bernd Leno. The German had conceded 5 goals against Manchester City before Mikel Arteta decided to start with Ramsdale. With Arsenal being knocked out of cup competitions, it would be crucial that the goalkeeper inspires the team as they hope to get a top-4 finish in the Premier League.
