How Detroit City FC stunned MLS’ Columbus Crew in historic win

The final whistle sounded and Le Rouge went Le Crazy.

On a frigid Tuesday night, in front of a raucous crowd at Keyworth Stadium, Detroit City FC  fell behind in the seventh minute to the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer, but never panicked.

Instead, DCFC turned up the heat, settled in during the second half and scored two unanswered goals to stun the Crew, 2-1, beating a team in the highest level of American soccer for the first time in club history.
