Manchester United News: Cristiano Ronaldo’s hattrick had saved the Red Devils in their last game. The Portuguese striker’s heroics were the reason why United were able to beat Norwich City 3-2 at Old Trafford.

Hence the Red Devils would surely miss out on the striker against Liverpool. The Red had beaten Manchester United 5-0 earlier in the season at Old Trafford. Hence it certainly won’t be easy for Ralf Rangnick’s side.

The Premier League game is certainly a “must-win” for both sides. Manchester United are chasing the top four whereas Liverpool have to keep up with Manchester City at the top of the table.

Rio Ferdinand mocks the decision to put Saka ahead of Ronaldo in the Player of the Year awards

Football News: Bukayo Saka’s nomination for the Premier League Player of the Season award ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo has been described as “laughable” by Rio Ferdinand.

Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrod Bowen, Joao Cancelo, Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min, and James Ward-Prowse are among the players nominated for the prize, according to the Premier League.

Despite scoring 18 goals and giving three assists in the league this season, Ronaldo was not included in the shortlist. In the same competition, Saka has 11 goals and six assists.

Arsenal will finish ahead of Manchester United in the table, despite Ronaldo’s involvement in more goals than his 20-year-old rival.

Since his return to English football, Ronaldo has won the Player of the Month award twice, in September and April. Despite this, Ferdinand is dissatisfied with the decision of the regulatory body.

“Is Saka in the Player of the Year nominees?” asked the former defender on his YouTube show Vibe with Five, who spent six years playing alongside Ronaldo. “

Saka would not have been in there as well as he has. No way would I have picked him over Ronaldo this season. Three or four of those men in there should be ahead of Ronaldo. He’s unlikely to win, but the list of nominees is ridiculous.

“He’ll take it as a slight, but these are the things that motivate him; ‘How dare you?’ he’ll think. If it’s based on statistics, he’ll say things like, ‘I’ve scored more goals than the majority of the players on that list except for Salah, so what are you talking about?’”

What does the Premier League website say?

Saka “has shown amazing character to bounce back” after missing the deciding penalty in the Euro 2020 final, according to the Premier League’s website.

The nominations for Young Player of the Season were also revealed by the Premier League. Alexander-Arnold, Saka, Phil Foden, Conor Gallagher, Tyrick Mitchell, Mason Mount, Aaron Ramsdale, and Declan Rice have all been named finalists.

They’ve also unveiled their five Manager of the Season contenders. Newcastle’s Eddie Howe, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and Crystal Palace’s Patrick Vieira round up the shortlist, which includes Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool.

The voting for all three categories is now closed, and the winners will be announced following Sunday’s final round of matches.

The Latest Update Regarding The Future Of Paulo Dybala

He is one of the top free agents this summer, and it is believed that Arsenal has once again stolen the march on their rivals. While Inter has been marked as favourites, new reports have emerged that the player’s agent was spotted in London, with Arsenal having enquired about the player.

Another angle that connects both player and club is the Ozil connection. Way back in 2015, Dybala was pictured wearing an Arsenal shirt, with the then number 10 on his back, raising speculations about the Argentine being a Gooner. If that is the case, then fans believe that this is the year when Dybala will finally wear the shirt with his name on it.

Dybala’s time at Turin was bittersweet and has made it known that he is looking for a fresh start and a Clean slate. What better place to start afresh than Arsenal. There is a gradual shift in the club, with the manager knowing what is needed and whatnot. Dybala could be the one that the team is built around, with his creative prowess known everywhere.

Will Dybala fit the bill at Arsenal? It’s a case of wait and see!!
