Ajax ready with offer for Steven Bergwijn

Published

on

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur might trade 24-year-old Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn this month, with Ajax being among the clubs interested in acquiring his services.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is eager to make significant changes to his team’s playing lineup. With numerous players allegedly available for transfer during the current transfer window.

Due to his dissatisfaction with the team’s lack of quality, the Italian manager has begun the process of bringing in players that meet his exacting requirements.

While Conte is pleased with several of the club’s current stars, especially those in the attack, Tottenham may follow his lead and attempt to unload some of their less desirable players.

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Antonio Conte wants a major overhaul in his squad

Spurs is reportedly interested in signing Adama Traore during the current transfer window. Which means an attacker from their ranks might be on his way out.

Steven Bergwijn, who has struggled with injuries and a lack of form this season, is not regarded highly by Conte, who is ready to offload the winger as soon as possible after signing him.

Only a few clubs in England are interested in signing the 24-year-old. But Dutch giants Ajax are willing to bring him back to his home country of Holland.

The former PSV Eindhoven star, Bergwijn, may be open to returning to his native country. If it means getting more playing time with Ajax’s main opponents in the league. Under Conte, he may find himself out of the starting lineup more often at Tottenham. This might lead to the Dutch international looking for a new club in the north London area.

Bergwijn was signed by Tottenham in January 2020, but he has struggled to find his feet at the club. Tottenham fans will be relieved to see the back of the 24-year-old attacker if the club can get a significant sum of money for him in the process of offloading him.

Tottenham will need to lower their asking price if they want to sell him

Although Ajax is not likely to overpay for the winger, Tottenham may accept a significant reduction in their original price if they are keen to offload him. Sevilla may have been interested as well. However, they may have decided to give off their chase because of Tottenham’s exorbitant asking price.

Bergwijn might be one of several players that Spurs are interested in unloading. With Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga, among others who have been identified as potential targets.

If Ajax is serious about signing Bergwijn, it will be interesting to see what type of offer they make. The Dutch star may leave the capital since he does not see a future in North London.

Ajax has Bergwijn’s offer rejected

Published

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is currently chasing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore this January transfer window.

It is especially clear why Antonio Conte’s men would do so given their glaring requirements for an attacking fullback. This void in their squad was quite visible across the two legs against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semifinals.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to stop Chelsea’s barrage down the flanks and couldn’t make much of an impact as well from their side. The Spurs had Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty playing on either flank.

However, both of these players couldn’t advance much and were restricted to their halves. This needs to change and for that reason, Antonio Conte is so desperate to get hold of Adama Traore from Wolves.

Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Spurs reject Ajax bid for Steven Bergwijn

Tottenham Hotspur News: Ajax has Steven Bergwijn’s offer rejected.

Amidst their pursuit for Adama Traore, Tottenham Hotspur has rejected Ajax’s offer for Steven Bergwijn. According to the latest reports, Ajax’s initial offer of €18 million has been rejected by Tottenham.

Although Steven Bergwijn has hardly been impactful for Tottenham Hotspur since joining, Antonio Conte still trusts him. The Italian coach said he’s waiting for Bergwijn to return from injury and believes in him.

Bergwijn, he knows very well what I think about him. I consider him a player that can play all the three roles, as a number 9 and number 10,” Conte said in a press conference.

In my period at Tottenham, he was injured for a long time. But I showed him that when he is in the good physical condition I gave him a chance. He is a Tottenham player and he is very close to coming back. After the game with Chelsea, he can start a training session.

“I can count on him. He is a player with different characteristics than Harry [Kane], [Heung-Min] Son, and [Lucas] Moura, he is a player we don’t have in our squad.”

However while Antonio Conte wants him to stay, Tottenham can be open to letting him go. But all of this depends on whether Ajax can provide them sufficient money for the transfer. Additionally, Bergwijn came to Tottenham Hotspur for £25 million from PSV Eindhoven, so they will look to at least make that much.

Obviously, this move makes sense from a financial standpoint. Tottenham Hotspur will try to make as much as possible from Steven Bergwijn and use it to fund Adama Traore.

After the disappointment in the Carabao Cup, Tottenham has a tough run of games. They will be facing Arsenal, Leicester City, and Chelsea in their next three fixtures.

Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag: Manchester United at odds over hiring – Man United News And Transfer News

Published

Those in charge of Manchester United and manager Ralf Rangnick reportedly seem to be at odds over who should be in charge of the club next year in regards to Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag.

The German boss has been at Old Trafford for a short time but is expected to move into his advisory role once his interim period as boss is over.

According to Le Parisien, Pochettino continues to have ‘secret contact’ with United, just in case he finds himself free from PSG in the upcoming summer.

It’s understood the Red Devils’ hierarchy prefer to have the Argentine in charge next season but Rangnick feels Ajax’s Ten Hag should be handed the reigns instead.

The Dutch manager seems to be the fan-favourite at the minute but no one will complain if Pochettino is chosen instead.

After all, the former Tottenham Hotspur man is highly rated and has been linked with the Manchester United job for years now.

His teams play attractive, attacking football and he seems to prefer turning potential into ability, which is important to supporters who are used to having a factory line of youngsters breakthrough into the first team.

However, PSG seem hell-bent on holding onto Pochettino and it’s likely any move will only transpire if the manager fails them in the Champions League.

Ligue 1 is more or less expected of any manager who is in charge of the French giants and so their positions are typically judged on how well they do in Europe’s elite cup competition.

Ten Hag wasn’t available mid-season as he didn’t want to leave Ajax high and dry but once the summer comes around, he should be easier to attain.

The talented manager has gained plenty of attention of late for his fluid, attacking football and for making the most of what is a small budget in comparison to Premier League giants.

His trophy haul also helps him and perhaps that is why Rangnick reportedly supports signing him over Pochettino.

Real Madrid To Fight For The Signing Of Ryan Gravenberch

Published

By

The status of Ryan Gravenberch at Ajax, according to a report by the Spanish news site Defensa Central, is being closely monitored by Real Madrid and Liverpool. If the 19-year-old Dutch prodigy does not agree to a new deal with Ajax, the Reds are prepared to make an offer of €50 million to sign him in the summer of 2022.

Ryan Gravenberch has been with Ajax since he was eight years old when he first joined the club’s renowned academy.

Since then, the teenager has advanced by leaps and bounds, first getting into the first-team squad three years ago, when he was only 16, and then becoming a crucial figure for the Dutch giants in recent years.

The 19-year-old has established himself as a staple in Ajax’s midfield, making 86 appearances and contributing ten goals and ten assists in the process as a result.

Liverpool and Real Madrid fight for the signing

Gravenberch has also established itself as a frequent stop on the Dutch national team’s tour schedule. At the same time, some of the most powerful teams in Europe, such as Real Madrid and Liverpool, have set their eyes firmly on him.

Real Madrid’s interest in him is logical, given that the Croatian international Modric is nearing the end of his illustrious career. Toni Kroos is reaching the end of his playing career. Casemiro will be 30 next year. So, the Spanish giants must devise a succession plan for their three midfield veterans.

Real Madrid already seems to have two of the parts of the jigsaw in place. Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga both are considered long-term answers in the midfield.

Real Madrid is interested in signing Gravenberch because he meets all of the criteria for the position. Liverpool, on the other hand, is putting up hard resistance against the La Liga powers in the hunt to recruit the 19-year-old.

Liverpool’s enthusiasm to recruit Gravenberch makes sense, given the fact that James Milner is nearing the end of his time at the club. On the other hand, Jordan Henderson is approaching the age of 30. As a consequence, the Reds must find a long-term replacement for at least one of their ageing midfielders. This is where Gravenberch comes into play.

Who leads the race to sign Gravenberch?

Due to his anticipated refusal to sign an extension with Ajax, Real Madrid and Liverpool have received a big boost in their pursuit of the Dutch prodigy.

This is a circumstance that the Reds, in particular. They are ready to take advantage of next summer by making a €50 million bid to sign Gravenberch.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, will hold out on signing him until the end of his Ajax contract in July 2023 to sign him on a free transfer.

This is because the Merengues may not be able to afford to spend €50 million in a single transfer window if they want to recruit Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Antonio Rudiger soon. Such an event gives Liverpool the upper hand. Now, it remains to be seen if they can outbid Real Madrid for Gravenberch’s signing before the deadline.
